According to german "newspaper" Bild am Sonntag, the IBF plans a four fighter tournament to find Wladimir Klitschkos next mandatory opponent. According to the paper the tournament contains Boytsov, Dimitrenko, Banks and Mormerck. Boytsov has to face Banks first, Dimitrenko has to fight Mormerck. The two winners fight each other in 2011 and face WK after that. Source: http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/mehr-...schko/exklusiv-geheimplan-gegen-wladimir.html BTW: Isn´t it the same kind of "tournament" they had with Brock, Chambers, Byrd and Povetkin to become Wlad´s IBF mandatory?
that mean Wlad will end up with bull**** mandatories from the WBO or IBO, providing the Haye fight never happens.
What exactly has Boytsov done to earn so much respect in the boxing community? I mean he obviously has some potential but I can't see him emerging victorious out of match versus Dimitrenko. Dimitrenko lost decisively to Chambers but that doesn't make him a bum as Chambers is well skilled and sure as hell way better than Boytsov in his current state (young, inexperienced, long break due to injury). Dimitrenko will be Wlad's next mandatory.
We can safely assume then that povetkin will still not be ready next year, this guy will be 40 before he is ready!!!!!
Boytsov has pulled OUT, Chambers is IN :verysad Dimitrenko v Banks Chambers v Mormeck according to the site with news about fights. Final: Dimitrenko v Chambers II, and then on to Wladimir v Chambers II :dead
I said on another thread about this I didn't think they'd move Boytsov along this way...one of those few times I hate being right.
this 'tournament' is unlikely to provide wlad with a worthy challenger. banks?? mormeck? c'mon. it'll be either AD or chambers and probably chambers and we already know that eddie doesn't match up well
