IBF is expected to order Usyk vs. Hrgovic as an immediate mandatory

Meanwhile the cokehead gets to fight Whyte, Chisora and an MMA fighter lol, what a freaking joke. Hrgovic, like Dubois, doesn’t deserve this fight as of now. If this goes down it’ll just delay the fight everyone actually wants to see and hurt the sport more smh…It’s why many people like MMA over boxing, they always put on the best vs. the best, no bull**** shenanigans like in boxing. Forcing Usyk to fight two mandatories in a row against undeserving fighters (imo), that fans aren’t even clamoring for and delaying undisputed should be a criminal offense. What a waste of time imo…I know some of you are ok with this but I hate to see it, sorry.

I think Hrgovic has done enough to fight for a title.

 

Like What? I would rather he fights winner of Joyce/Zhang or Wilder and Ruiz. Hrgovic didn’t even beat Zhang imo, or if you want to say draw, but definitely not a clear winner. Struggled in his last fight against a nobody. Doesn’t have any legit top wins on his resume. I don’t get it. The way boxing is set up, it’s broken imo.

 

Agreed. Unbeaten, beat a good fighter in Zhang though it was close, has been active recently and honestly other than Fury who else is more deserving and free to fight him?

He's far more deserving than Dubois was. Yeah his resume could be better but then with so many ducking him it's hard to see how he could of garnered a better resume than he has.

 

The only focus right now should be Usyk vs. Fury. All attempts should be made to let that fight happen. No BS roadblocks like having the overrated Hrgovic fighting Usyk. Majority of Croatian fans of his aren’t impressed and say Usyk will own him…Another boring, time waster of a fight that no one really wants over Usyk-Fury…

No, he needs to push for the Fury fight and only the Fury fight. They can pay this bum Hrgovic off to step aside I’m sure of it…

 

You're correct that the focus should be Fury, but it's obvious to most that Fury will never fight Usyk so Usyk has to defend his belts...

 

BTW I'm pretty sure Hrgovic is a tougher fight than Zhang ... Usyk has a good chin and just needs to be defensively responsible for about 5 rounds against Zhang.

 

Boxing would be much, much healthier (and everyone richer) if established fighters had 3 or 4 fights a year.

Somewhat tough sure, but he’d figure them out and outpoint both easily, like he did Dubois. His experience and skill level is way above theirs…

Zhang is very good at dictating the pace of a fight. He could make Usyk fight more cautious then usual which would slow down the fight and make Zhang a threat for much longer than 5.

 

Agreed. He can only lose to either via a lucky punch and/or getting old.

 

Maybe. Certainly that would be a good tactic for him but I don't know if he can slow it down enough, Usyk will keep him moving and changing angles etc. I personally feel Zhang is getting a bit overrated right now, even though I do like him as a fighter. But I could be wrong.
