how about just follow the rules and fight someone that is at least ranked if you want to call this farce a title defense.....i could give a **** if it was a non title fight...but whether you want to believe it or just suck the balls of anyone from OZ, but title shots are supposed to be earned and not just handed out to guys because they suck enough that the belt holder feels confident he can win
Every sanctioning body is a joke today. Martinez holds the Ring belt, he's the middleweight champ as far as I'm concerned. It's not worth caring anymore about all these BS title fights from these paper belt orgs.
I think unfortunately this is becoming pretty commonplace isn't it? Peter Okhello Shannon Briggs Derek Chisora (signed but pulled out of) Albert Sosnowski ****, that's just the heavyweight division in recent times. Some of the other divisions have been just as bad, if not worse...
I think you will find Icemann That Geale and his management wanted a World Titlte fight in Australia and the only taker was this guy. So you can give as much ****ing **** as you want but the fact remains none of the top 5 rated IBF challengers wanted to fight Geale in Australia. Geale went to ****ing Germany and beat Sylvester in his own back yard and we know what Germany can be like. I dont want to here that ****. How many Title fights are made just as a fill the Gap type fight today and i dont blame Geale its not his fault its the corrupt organizations. These are the IBF rankings CHAMPION: Daniel Geale Australia Title won: May 07. 2011 Mandatory: Feb 07. 2012 Defended : WBA: Felix Sturm Germany WBC: Sebastian Zbik Germany WBO: Dimitri Pirog Russian Federation 1 NOT RATED 2 NOT RATED 3 Anthony Mundine Australia 4 Darren Barker United Kingdom 5 Sergio Martinez Argentina 6 Peter Manfredo, Jr United States 7 Osumanu Adama United States 8 Roman Karmazin Russian Federation 9 Sam Soliman Australia 10 Noe Gonzalez Uruguay 11 Sebastian Sylvester Germany 12 Eromosele Albert Nigeria 13 Dominik Britsch Germany 14 Avtandil Khurtsidze Georgia 15 Robert Medley Australia Im told that Albert was the only one willing to travel to fight in Australia.
You might want to check if a fighter is actually ranked before you state they aren't You might want to actually watch said fighter aswell before you rubbish him so much..(and no not the Kirkland blowout)..He is not shocking, he is just average and an acceptable first defence.
the point was dickhead.....theres no way in **** he should have been "ranked" how does one get rated even at # 12 at middleweight when he has only had 2 fights at middleweight 2010-11-19 This content is protected 18-2-1 This content is protected 2011-02-11 This content is protected This content is protected ( This content is protected win in last 7 fights) while only winning 1 out of his 5 previous light middleweight fights before that......?? 2008-05-17 This content is protected 2008-09-23 This content is protected 2009-01-16 This content is protected This content is protected and This content is protected 2009-08-15 This content is protected 2009-10-16 This content is protected half the people on these boards i really believe could go get ranked and fight for a title if your big task is to be able to beat guys ranked between 150-300....while losing any other fight before that what a great world title fight fight that geale brought back to OZ...it only lacked 1 thing...a world title challenger....im sure you will be telling your grand kids about this hagler-hearns like mega even he brought home :hi:
im just curious how they come up with rankings This content is protected Sergio Martinez Argentina # 12 Eromosele Albert Nigeria This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Eromosele Albert last This content is protected 21-1 This content is protected 18-2 This content is protected 18-2-1 This content is protected This content is protected 11-2 This content is protected ( This content is protected win in last 7 fights)
Watch the fight...see how Albert acquitted himself in there. If you still don't think he was a worthy challenger then fine. But I'd implore you to check out some of the other middleweight title challengers from the last 3 or 4 years...Albert stacks up pretty well against many of them. It's just a weak division in a weak era of boxing...after the top 5 or 6 fighters to quality drops off significantly..so if you can't bag a fight with one of those top tier fighters, what else are you supposed to do? You go down the rankings until you find an opponent. This is nothing new in boxing, especially for a first defense...and it will probably only get worse if more titles keep popping up diluting the talent pool.
... and people get pissed when I say give Tua a shot at HW vs Vitali or Wlad! Boxing has such hypocrites! atsch
