IBF Likely To Order Martin Bakole Next For Filip Hrgovic.

    The IBF could be on the verge of ordering a heavyweight fight between top contender Filip “El Animal” Hrgovic (15-0, 12KO) and Martin Bakole (18-1, 13KO) next. The organization is struggling to secure a fight involving the interim title featuring the Croatian.

    The organization’s most recent order called on former unified champion Andy Ruiz to face Hrgovic. However, that fell apart when Ruiz opted out of the purse bid. It is no secret he is more than likely going to be fighting former WBC champion Deontay Wilder next.

    With Usyk currently out of reach, El Animal will need another IBF-ranked opponent to battle for the interim title. The IBF #2 slot is vacant, and the aforementioned Ruiz holds position #3, with Wilder sitting at #4. Fishing deeper into the rankings will find a similarly unavailable Anthony Joshua at #5. He is scheduled to face Jermaine Franklin on April 1. This makes IBF #6 Bakole the next viable option.

    Bakole is neither a coward nor a prima donna, and he's being avoided too. This is a great opportunity for him.

    I think Bakole will accept - this is an excellent matchup!

    Bakole gonna fight the Ukranian Hulk in April. Filip should also try to get a warm up fight

    You mean Ihor Shevadzutskyi? Bakole should win without any major problems, I absolutely agree that Hrgovic needs a warm-up fight before the fight with Bakole, of course if that fight will happen because inactivity would only make him worse...

    It's a good fight but this has been talked about a couple of times before with both men calling out the other and negotiations going nowhere as according to Bakole they didn't offer him enough money and so he fought Yoka for twice as much. If Matchroom can't pay Bakole well enough to make it worth his while then the fight could fall through again regardless of what the IBF order.

    That would be a decent fight to see and Hrgovic must work a lot, the chances of him losing are big.

    I also slightly favor Bakole over Hrgovic because he has better wins than Hrgovic. Bakole has victories over Wach, Johnson, Kuzmin and Yoka...
