Completely and utterly bored of the International Boxing Federation and Filip Hrgovic trying to hold the heavyweight division to ransom

But this would be a good fight for sure

Hrgovich needs to get back in the ring. He is terribly mismanaged. Needs a real promoter.

Bakole is a bigger sexier badder version of Zhang

Way lighter puncher, he's not heavier (in their last fights, Zhang was 3 pounds heavier than Bakole), and he's an inch shorter according to their amateur measurements.

I mean, bad promotion, and his management can't get fights, but they have gotten him the IBF mandatory position, and a fight for the IBF interim. That is pretty good. But since titles have such little value nowadays, yeah, he'll need to change promoters when he gets a title.

Yeah I'm sick of it too. They keep ordering fights that have no chance of happening, either one fighter is tied up with another fight, or promotional issues clearly will prevent it, or they mandate a purse split so unrealistic that the bigger draw has no choice but to reject it.

They have a history of this too. When Pac stepped down as JMM's IBF mandatory they ordered Marquez make a mandatory against some nobody who Pac had already KO'ed in 1 round and literally nobody wanted the fight, not the fans, not the promoters, not the TV networks, nobody bid of the 2 attempts at a purse bid and instead of realising they had mandated a fight with no chance of ever being made decided to strip Marquez of his belt. A bunch of chimps could do a better job running the IBF.

Great post. Some people I know hold the IBF to be the '''''best''''' of the alphabet orgs, but in reality they are just as bad as the WBC and WBA - only in different ways. Yes they enforce their mandos much more frequently than Mauricio and co. but the absolute guff they push as no.1 contender is mindblowing. That isn't to say Filip is no-hoper of course, but there's an argument he isn't even a top 10 heavyweight, and yet he would've got the lion's share of the purse against Andy Ruiz - a former unified world champ. What about that kid Josh Taylor wiped out between Rougarou and Ramirez in 1 round. An IBF mando apparently. When all is said and done the WBO are the best of a bad bunch

Also, just a thought, but doesn't Hrgovic himself realise that this weird IBF favouritism is harming his career? Constant inactivity, a lack of experience fighting real contenders... just a poor mutually detrimental relationship. I hope Bakole knocks his head off
