I haven't follow his day to day schedule. He could be with Fury in a camp or so, and do light stuff, to recover from his injury.
Again his elbow injuries are well known. Also a lot of the time fighters don't wanna talk or say what exact injuries they have for obvious reason, to not give advantages away.

Let's look at his fights prior and after:
He took a year for elbow surgery around the Junior Fa fight. Prior i think, and he was out for a year before that fight.
He then fight Ja, Chisora, Chisora, aka 3 time in 2021. Then his next fight is 9 months later, exactly with Joyce.
And this is not the Parker fighting schedule. As after Joyce, he had 5 fights in a 13-14 months span.
Just because he was with Fury or they supposedly wanted or not wanted the fight in a given date, doesn't mean he wasn't injured.

Parker rejected the Hrgovic fight in January.
And this is from Parker team:
"Parker explained to me that he has elbow trouble," Higgins said. "He has had two major elbow surgeries and it is an ongoing problem. They get sore.
"He wants to go to a specialist before he starts punching or doing weights again.
"He also had a badly burst eardrum. He is a bit battered.
"So we declined the eliminator and explained those points.

Again it's a combination of things that we already discussed. No one is going to accept a 10x. less, and he also had injury problems.
I don't know what Parker have said prior to his fight with Joyce, but his trainer wasn't available and Parker wasn't in a training camp at that time. Could be he was with Fury, but that doesn't mean much.
Again his injury could have been minor, etc, etc, but still be a factoring in his choice.
Obviously money was the main motivation.
But i don't think Parker will lie about his injury/problem with his elbow, that he already had like 3 surgery.

This fight being for the interim belt was the perfect solution. Everyone wins. Hrgovic gets to fight for his belt and the belts aren't split up because of arbitrary rules. The IBF made the right choice.

This is the first ever interim title in the history of the IBF. So I think the belt will have value.

We already discussed those quotes, so we are rehashing things now

About him training, It was reported by Sky sports in that April that Parker had been training with Fury for 15 weeks while trying to negotiate the fight with Joyce

For me old injuries aren't relevant, unless we believe that those same past injuries would stop him fighting Hrgovic on a similar time line to what he was trying to fight Joyce. i.e. they wouldn't, it was an excuse floated by his manager to try and save his IBF ranking.

We agree money was a deciding factor. I have no problem with that.

But he still swerved Hrgovic, just like Whyte swerved Pulev

Fair enough. Dubois won with his head there, though.

Stil, Hrgovic was very lucky to get the Zhang decision, so consider this Karma.

First mak, then Sanchez, now hygovic. When will people start respecting proven fighters instead of jumping from one hype job to the next proclaiming them the next big thing.

I picked Kabayel in both those fights, btw

I got the winner of this one wrong, but doesn't change that Daniel did the most damage with his head there and the fight was stopped on cuts.
It wasn't exactly a clean win.

But okay, the result is the result. Guess we will be seeing Usyk v Dubois 2 next.

One was head butting, the other was hitting behind the head. I don’t think the head butting won the fight. It was because hygovic ran out of stamina and will.

Nqh be honest. There wasn't any rabbit punches by Hrgovic this time around. The ref was paid actor. This was pathetic. This ain't boxing.

I agree that Hrgovic has a reputation for rabbit punches. But Dubois was leading with the head and looking to scrape his shaved head against the cut in every clinch. The referee was aware of it. Dubois looked to get the head in again in the final clinch, the referee broke them up, and they stopped the fight on cuts. But fair enough, this is the pros, dirty tactics are used.

I had Dubois in the ascendancy, but he was still behind on the cards. The head was the difference maker for me.

I didn't think too much of the ref, but he did pick Dubois up on the head (very late). Then again, I don't put anything past Warren after seeing Dubois v Lerena.
