bro if your a dominate champ you don’t fight a guy below your weight class on a 2 yr layoff. Yeah real dominate he literally ducked two mandos.

He won bronze at the world amateur championship actually and his WSB record was 24-1. He was an accomplished amateur going to the olympics and losing to the silver medalist.

GGG beat Milton Nunez and Nilsson tapia (who the hell are they) to become mandatory for the WBA belt, he was gifted the WBA belt when the WBA stripped Geale for not fighting him. Unlike Derevyanchenko who still has to fight for the IBF belt. I’m not blaming GGG btw, Sturm ducked him for years and Geale didn’t look like fighting him so it was the right decision by the WBA just like it was the right decision by the IBF now.

Bro champs can’t just sit and keep puttin of mandos. That goes for all orgs. Wilder pissed me of a little when he said he would make Whyte wait two years of his career. Bro there are 100s of boxers you shouldn’t allowed to hold a division hostage or belt

    Oh boy.

Better strip the Hall of Famer then.

And a few months from now, Sergiy will lose and nobody will talk about him anymore. Because he never did anything to begin with.

The problem is you just decided to make your own rules, the rules state the champ must fight him mandatory within a set period, it was the rule that got GGG two of his three belts. I bet you weren’t crying when those rules helped him, were you?

But you are not implying GGG is ducking Sergiy are you? That's why Geale was stripped. In this case GGG is going for a rematch to clear his record from a cheater who drew with him. These are fair circumstances for the IBF to wait. But they chose not to... they made themselves look like fools. Unless you think GGG is afraid of his mando and going after an escape route in Clenelo?

Does not matter. NONE of that happens if Clenelo doesn’t pop hot.

Not his problem not his fault but people can hate anyway. Spike was lined up but didn’t want to fight. That was GGG first pick.

Disagree. But he can go back and get the belt which I expect him to do.

It doesn’t matter if Derevyanchenko goes on to lose every fight from now, all that matters was he got his shot which he worked for. I will always support the mandatory getting his shot, unless of course it’s something which is blatant dodgy business like the WBC making stiverne mandatory for the WBC belt when he hadn’t fought in two years. In this situation the IBF made decision cost them money and I say hats off to them.

He didn’t duck anyone. Had Clenelo not popped hot this whole debacle doesn’t happen.

    Why don’t people understand this?

No problem if he wants the belt he can fight for it again, but the fact of the matter is they gave GGG options and he didn’t give them any choice but to strip him.

    Hold the division "HOSTAGE."

Now the guy with 12 wins is "A HOSTAGE?"

    I never heard such nonsense.

Two pound-for-pounders are fighting and the 12-fight pro is being held hostage because he SIMPLY HAS TO HAVE A TITLE SHOT next or the world will come to an end. He's been waiting FOR SO SO LONG.

His shot doesn't mean **** if its against DJ since you know, DJ already lost to GGG. He won't be earning that belt really in the sense that he if hypothetically beats DJ, be beating the real man who held that belt.

Yeah don’t say Spike was a replacement, you really should t bring that up at all honestly it’s embarassing. GGG should fight people in his weight class not welter weights and super welters. He knocks out heavyweights remember why he picking on those little people
