This content is protected From one perspective i find it funny, because Hearn was making plans over title that are in Usyk possession and nothing is certain. Fury/Usyk may very well retire, and the Champ to defend his belt. Million X and Y factors. But on the other hand, this is beyond biased by the IBF, which opens up questions. Are they have something against Hearn(or maybe Saudi), as they f***** Opetaia as well, as that stripping was beyond pathetic. He could have very well fought in Saudi, and then defend his title in the rematch against Briedis. It was Briedis that wasn't rdy(injured), and trying to force Opetaia to stay inactive is absolutely outrageous. You can make a case that AJ is schedule to fight Ngannou(but it's the same case with Opetaia), but why didn't they f**** up Hrgovic, who just fought De Mori, who was ranked like what 350? How can AJ just beat up the number 2 ranked guy in Wallin, who was schedule to fight Hrgovic for the IBF title, and AJ literally makes his team quit, annihilate him in 5, and he somehow not move in Ranking, but Hrgovic fought number 350(or whatever), and it's stays in number 1 position??? You can make a case Wallin wasn't all that good before that, but that doesn't mean a s****, as IBF had him in number 2 ..... This makes no sense at all. Number 2 spot vacant .... I find it harder and harder to take Boxing seriously anylonger ...
There is also another explanation and that is they are about to strip Usyk/Fury, maybe straight after the Undisputed fight, and straight away to order Parker - Hrgovic(if this is to happen) as IBF title fight. But that fight will already be made, as there is no time, and make it IBF title fight straight away it's going to be beyond fishy.
People have to stop pretending that the ABC rankings follow any sort of protocol or have anything to do with how sports work in general. They depend on the whims of corrupted slobs and are nothing more than a marketing tool to sell fights sanctioned by the ABCs. Ngannou who is 0-1 is ranked number 10 by the WBC. I'm pretty sure you're aware of this, OP. Why the outrage?
I know any of this, but this is a beyond anything we have seen. How can you have your number 2 spot, as vacant ? This is literally making rules on the get going. And this is by the IBF, who supposedly have "strict" rules. How can anyone take the sports seriously after that, really?
They don't While all the ABCs are a complete joke I had a microscopic speck of respect for the IBF, but it too is long gone now.
I mean this is some kind of a joke if i had to be real. How the f**** you were number 3 in the ranking, absolutely destroys the number 2 ranked fighter, and not moved to either number 1 or number 2 spot, why even have rankings then? Parker is staying at Number 4, i guess cause Wilder was not ranked in the IBF, otherwise they would have make him number 2 i guess. I think they have something against Hearn or the Saudi to be fair. There is no other explanation about this.
At this point, Im not sure how much AJ cares about belts. Hes had the belts. Now he wants money/legacy. If he had a choice between fighting Hrgovic for an ABC title, or fighting Fury with no title on the line....which one do you think he's picking?
I think AJ wants to become 3x World Champion. But yeah he is also looking to get the best fight available(also money wise, he ain't in his 20s. anylonger). And when he was a Champion, he was too often forced to takes on all the coming mandatories. In terms of legacy in his mind, 3x time Champion means a lot to him. But that's not the point. I will be pissed if Parker or Wilder was in the AJ spot, as this makes no sense at all.
My understanding is that the IBF have a different protocol when it comes to getting ranked in the top two. You have to fight an eliminator to earn a top 2 ranking and then a final eliminator to get a title shot. Which is why some of their divisions will have the top two rankings vacant. Wallin got the number 2 spot by beating Gassiev in a mandated eliminator and Hrgovic beat Zhang to earn his number 1 ranking. So technically Joshua didn't earn the number 2 ranking by simply beating Wallin under the IBF's rules. The IBF would need to mandate an IBF eliminator between Joshua and someone else in their top 15 for Joshua to get then 2nd ranking position.
This BS shouldn't surprise anyone. I can tell you, with absolute certainty, that titles changed hands or didn’t change hands – not as a result as what happened in the ring – but from what happened in these dark rooms with long tables filled with cigar smoke smelling of corruption.
AJ vs Wallin wasn't a final eliminator. AJ vs Herg for vacant IBF is good. Its probably the only way that fight happens.
Yeah this may very well be the case. But it doesn't make any sense to be fair. It could make sense for the mandatory, to order an eliminator or final eliminator or whatever they wanna call it, but for the number 2 spot, h? Also what doesn't mean even more sense, let's just pretend they are working like that. Wallin won a SD over IBF second pick for that vacant number 2 spot - Gassiev. AJ just destroyed their number 2 spot guy. How the f**** you are not deserving of taking the number 2 spot automatically, exactly? And instead you should wait for IBF to order you to fight an eliminator against someone in their top 15. That's horrendous.
Was the IBF wrong, incorrect, out of order, not right or justified in forcing Jai Opetaia to vacate his belt? Sure. Absolutely. Yes sirree, no question about it. But AJ hurled Usyk's belts out of the ring and he and E-Hearn have talked grimey about the sanctioning orgs before. If you're rude to the waiter he might spit in your meal. It is what it is. And AJ is fighting a 0-1-0 novice in his next bout who is coming off a loss instead of highly ranked pro HWs like Big Bang, Hrgovic, J-Park all of whom were willing to face him and are coming off wins. It is what it is. Snakey Face E-Hearn had it all mapped out for AJ and truth be told he was relieved and delighted The Dosser lost to J-Park: AJ vs featherfist Wallin who he knew AJ had already beaten twice before in the ams and had sparred over 150 rounds against, rounds which team GB Richie Woodhall said AJ was always in control, which not only, what E-Hearn believed at the time, would book AJ a shot at the vacant IBF title vs Hrgovic but would enable AJ to one-up rival Belly who struggled against Wallin Then fight rank novice Ngannou who E-Hearn is on record saying even after Belly vs Ngannou could lose to anyone in the top 100. Again, this gives AJ another opportunity to score a one-up on Belly and E-Hearn obviously also knows that Ngannou no longer has the element of surprise anymore and that AJ knows what to expect and will actually take him seriously Then fight Hrgovic for the vacant IBF, the same Hrgovic who E-Hearn is partially responsible for mismanaging and not properly developing the career of because ReMatchroom were Hrgovic's co-promoters. Had they been willing to invest in Hrgovic properly he would already be a world champion by now or at worst fought for the title already. And then fight the winner of Usyk vs Belly. The plan is to ''put that Usyk loss right'' even though he lost to Usyk who had everything stacked against him twice comprehensively, never deserved the first rematch let alone two, categorically doesn't deserve a third fight against Usyk Usyk would never have been given a rematch had AJ just eked past him once but AJ gets as many rematches and rolls of the dice as it takes to achieve the desired result but his opponents never get any and only ever one roll Not to mention one judge really wanted to rob Usyk against AJ in the first fight and one actually did so in the rematch And how do you right a loss to someone who has beaten you twice? You have to beat them x 3 to right it and E-Hearn and AJ know damn well they would be ''righting'' the ''loss'' against an old Usyk who was already past prime when he fought AJ the first time So whilst the IBF might be in the wrong I simply don't care because I'm happy to see the plans of Snakey Face E-Hearn who I have defended many times, disrupted. Hrgovic vs J-Park for the vacant belt next please
IBF showed integrity and balls, major hit to business side of boxing. They thought they could buy IBF belt, no way.
