    does that mean Groves gets 25% of the purse? im not sure if that makes the fight more or less likely at this stage. im not sure Froch cares about the belt he probably wants the biggest amount of money he can get.

    That makes me think Eddie wants the rematch.

    I think Froch would take the GG fight if he got the lions share of the money wheras GG knows his worth and isn't going to accept the rematch unless it's around a 60-40 split.

    It depends whether the IBF have put a stipulation on the ordered rematch that Froch can't fight anyone else next apart from GG or be stripped.

    If it's just a rematch within 12 months, it's pretty much meaningless as Froch will probably be retired by then any way.

    If you believe the papers... Groves was offered £1m to Froch's £5m. So a £6m total purse.

    IBF mandatory is a 75/25 split so Groves' share is in the region of £1.5m. The IBF could have just made Georgey boy an extra £500k.

    he will if he makes more money by doing so. which is the smart move always take the money especially at the end of a career.
