A lot of mandatories have rejected fights with Opetaia it seems not many fancy their chances against him. Briedis has always been one of my favorite fighters and I think this is the fight to make. The first one was a war very exciting fight. If the rematch is made I may even travel to the great state of Queensland for this one.

I think Jai can do it again but that was the definition of a pyrrhic victory. He was out for so long with the injuries sustained in that fight. I don't expect it to be to much easier for him this time.

No surprise Mairis is the only one with the cajones to take on Jai.

Aussies have the world running scared. They just don't want to step in the ring with us.

Yeah Briedis even in his late 30's is made of stone. It's the two best in the division. Yep even though us Aussies are few in numbers we are some of the toughest SOB's in the world especially New South Welshman.

Thats interesting, I read only yesterday that Riakporhe was going to purse bids only to see now that they pulled out.

Should Opetaia get past Breidis 2, another worthy opponent would be Goulamirian. That would be a really good fight.
Someone mentioned Badou Jack, another good opponent.

I have it on good authority that Filipinos are in fact the strongest people in the world.

    Nice!

I am hoping Briedis wins and there is an instant rubber match!

    Excellent fight if it happens.

Briedis is older now but Opetaia received most of the damage in victory. Neither have fought since. It will be interesting to see how both men adjust after the 12 rounds against each other. Briedis has the opportunity to avenge a defeat, become a 4x cruiserweight titlist and 2x Ring cruiserweight champion.

First fight was a classic! Very close Jai faced some unbelievable adversity in the late rounds.

I liked Briedis trying to get an agreement for a rematch backstage meanwhile Jais unable to talk, jaw literally hanging off his face.
