I’m guessing you’re going to see Beterbiev drop the IBF and Eiffert will face #2 Conor Wallace for the vacant belt. The IBF also have the totally undeserving Huseyin Cinkara as Opetaia’s mandatory at Cruiser.

Actually this one kinda makes sense.
Fanlong Meng held the IBF Inter-Continental for several fights and I think he even beat a few IBF ranked guys. Then Pascal beat him and kinda stole his ranking. Eifert himself won the IBF Inter-Continental and then beat Pascal.
So now Eifert is the IBF mandatory. And it´s definitely not out of the blue.

The real problem is that IBF keeps announcing these mandatory obligations so suddenly. They should be more clear with what is going on. And they should definitely go back to setting up mandatory obligations via eliminator fights.

It would be the most interesting option. I think Beterbiev could do some damage at CW. However, Opetaia is a tough ask though, given Beterbiev's age and the fact that Opetaia is big, tough and has a good chin....

Yeah, it's a good challenge for Beterbiev at his age.

Opetaia is too open for a big punchers, I could see Beterbievs bodyshots damage him.
