I love baranchyyk hes fun as hell to watch fight... but this would be career suicide for him go for one of the other 3 belts buddy lol.
I don't know about that, Ivan is a big strong 140 pounder who takes a good shot. Is way more physical than Lipinets and hits considerably harder. He is just rough and Mikey might be a little too light in the ass for that kind of pressure.
Actually he probably doesn't hit harder, Lipinets stopped Zappavigna, Castillo, Ghvamichava which is no easy task, Barachyk has gone the distance in 4 of his last 5 fights, and Petrov is fairly tiny for 140, and has been fighting at 135 for the last few years. Lipinets has shown KO power against top tier opposition, Baranchyk not so much.
I can't refute that and I won't. No doubt that Mikey is heads and shoulders above Ivan but it just appears to me that he might not be able to tire Ivan and it could cost him down the stretch. I think that Ivan is stronger than Limpents.
10 days is a rather short notice and i think Lipiniets might have given Mikey a bit of a scare. Mikey might want to take his time with 140 and 147. He rather recently moved up to 135. No rush.
I saw a lot of improvement in Baranchyk, he could give MIkey some problems, but don't thing he has enough experience yet, his new trainer has improved him a lot, but just not enough time.............
