He can do what he wants to do.

His resume makes Gigi's look comical...plus he's 9 years younger.

    Damn... That's bad.

I've praised the IBF for forcing mandatories, which in principal is good, but if you're gonna do it, sort your ****ing rankings out.
Everybody involved except Wade deserve criticism if this fight gets made.

Funny how so many people are acting as if this is GGG's fault. You think Wade is 1st choice... Or even last choice? They wouldn't fight him if they didn't have to. But it's a mandatory, and since it's obvious all fighters with a belt are running scared, then he has to take it or be stripped. Best to get it out of the way. Not a great fight, but you can't blame him either. If anything, blame Wade. He's the one that accepted it.

This. Wade needs to develop a little more before he starts fighting top 10 competition. Fighting GGG right now is a guaranteed beating waiting to happen.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but didn't you previously state that you would no longer follow Golovkin if he didn't force the mandatory status with Canelo, and that you'd only be rooting for Kovalev?

Again, I could be mistaken, but I thought you had previously stated that if Golovkin didn't push to have his mandatory enforced following Cotto-Canelo, that you would no longer root for him and that you'd exclusively dedicate yourself towards being a Kovalev fan.

I seem to recall you being upset at first when news broke, but then it was like the Seinfeld episode where Costanza quit his job, only to show up the next work day as if it hadn't happened.

But perhaps I am confusing Golovkin fanatics, so apologies if I'm mistaken.

Cant force Canelo to fight GGG. I mean what should he do put a gun to Suliamans head? Maybe sue K2 and WBC and sit out for 2 years?

Yup. Actually, if Canelo asks the WBC if he can bring a gun to the GGG fight, they'd say yes. K2 can't force ****.

On the one hand, IBF is better than most for following their rules.

On the other hand, the IBF is possibly the most abysmal at actually setting rankings. Though they are all pretty bad.

Not really interested in this fight. Kind of peeved actually, because if they were gonna make a fight with a Haymon guy the only one considered should be Jacobs. Finally crossing the promotional lines to make a fight with a top50 level B-class prospect is more than slightly ridiculous.

If it happens I wont blame K2 for fighting the mandatory, though I will blame HBO if they make it a primetime WCB fight. They should tell K2 and the IBF to head off to Monte Carlo with this ****. Dishing out the big dollars in this situation just encourages the Alphabets to continue with their garbage rankings for money grabs instead of trying to responsibly use their rankings and mandos to actually force top level fighters to meet in the ring.
