I have a feeling there will be 3 or 4 heavyweight "champions" again in 2022. These "mandatory challengers" will keep being made and there's no way a Fury/Joshua two-fight series will keep the belts intact, then the winner of that series (which 'might' even end up 3 fights) will probably go for whatever the most lucrative match is, which is unlikely ever to be someone like Michael Hunter or Filip Hrgovic.
I hope this fight gets made its a pretty 50/50 fight I could see it going either way but if I had to pick id probably go with Hrgovic but I can 100% see Hunter outboxing him. Hunters the faster slicker fighter and I expect him to build up a lead but Hrgovic's power and boxing IQ are really good and I see him timing hunter and eventually landing big.
This is a great fight. I know people all have a hard on for EE fighters and so will likely pick Hrgovic to stop Hunter. But I think Hunter's quite bad for Hrgo. Too quick, too tough, too good with the straights down the middle.
is this for the "regular" belt, the "intercontinental" belt, the "Aztec" belt, or the "interim Covid" belt?
Hunter fought much better fighters than Hrgovic. If Hrgovic beats him he is a top 10 fighter, but we saw multiple times how a new star can crash and burn.
