Yeah I think Jacobs should go for his WBA mandatory shot and have SD get on with Andrade, tbh can jacobs even make the rehydration limit for the belt?

 

WBA? Not realistic at all, imho. Golovkin will fight Canelo, and, if not, he will fight Ryota Murata (for sure WBA will allow that fight). So, it might take years for Jacobs to take that opportunity (quite illusory, considering ggg's age).

 

I don’t think it would take years maybe 1 year max. I think the WBA will call for the title shot after the WBC so end of next year.

However I guess that is long, I just wouldn’t want two of the fighters I train to fight.

 

@jmashyaka, Jacobs can hugely improve his chances of fighting Golovkin by becoming an IBF champion.

 

But GGG is no longer the IBF champ? So not sure how he could do that.

Great footage. Jacobs is throw back. I thought he was going to fizzle out like Kid Chocolate way back, but I was very wrong.

It is true. But, according to their manager, that won’t be an impediment to the fight. I won't be surprised if Andre Rozier stays with Jacobs and Derevyanchenko finds someone else as a trainer for this fight. Not the optimal situation, yes, but Derevyanchenko just can't wait much longer (he's getting too old) and can't miss such an opportunity.
