Whyte somewhat opened himself up to that by officially announcing a date with Wallin, instead of just waiting for the outcome of the Fury-Wilder III bout which had already been scheduled, then pulling out of the bout a week or so after Fury-Wilder III had been fought. If the opponent had just been an obviously overmatched tick-over, rather than a potential banana peel, I'd guess there would've been much less suspicion or complaint surrounding the demise of Whyte's planned October 30 bout.

In all fairness, if his ailment was genuine, it's not a duck. But the skepticism his injury announcement met with arose from a negative perception of Hearn and Whyte's past maneuverings, primarily the manner in which they were able to gain seemingly arbitrary clearance from UKAD after a pop for dianabol, with no report of the B-sample having been tested in accordance with the "adjudication process" the organization purports to adhere to, and at a time when Hearn was still top of the domestic promotional pile—for an interesting contrast, juxtapose that with the manner in which Fury's nandrolone pop for the Hammer bout was very belatedly and oddly outed by UKAD at a time when he was beleaguered and embattled by an ongoing political witch-hunt in the media, and his license suspended despite the lack of a completed "adjudication process" that UKAD maintained was necessary to the imposition of sanctions where it concerned Whyte's case just three years later (it should be noted, also, that Fury's B-sample was tested and came up clean).

It’s stupid for Usyk to take these fights that don’t pay when he has already proven himself. Even if chances are low, risk doing an AJ and losing his belt over a lucky punch

Muhahahhaha, nice joke. Wilder is a known ducker and fighting from truck drivers to tomato cans.
He also himself admitted to duck AJ, never wanted to fight Whyte, before he was streched. Ducked Klitschko and Povetkin. Nice joke as i said.

The issue here is the IBF enforcing the mandatory defence on Usyk a few months before the undisputed match up against Fury even though he's only held the IBF strap for 14 months (and obviously he was contractually bound to rematch AJ after annexing it from him and was sidelined by the war during that time too) and not enforcing one on Spence in 4.5 years. I have no problem with Usyk defending against Hrgovic, Joyce or any of his mandatory challengers after the undisputed fight with Fury but if he does so before facing Fury the chances are we will never see it happen because then the other sanctioning orgs will enforce their mandatories too.

Usyk only held the IBF CW strap for like 9 or 10 months IIRC (Ditto for the WBA) and he held the WBC CW strap for like 14 months. The only belt he held for longer than that is the WBO CW strap which he held for like 2.5 years.

Crap move by the IBF. Total crap. I heard Hearn was behind it as he doesn't want the Fury-Usyk fight to take place.

It only works one way. If Fury does it then it’s ok, if it’s a matchroom fighter then it’s a duck.
