They dont want Toney going 12 with Wlad when he just got whooped by Couture in a couple of minutes like he was nothing. It will make their champion, Wlad look bad.

Toney could easily end up going 12 with Wlad because he's still tough enough and crafty enough to do it.

fukin hell. 2 weeks ago i saw it like this

    top 10

    wlad
    vitali
    haye
    povetkin
    chagaev
    solis
    valuev
    arreola
    thompson
    chambers

and i said i would accept toney as a throw away fight.

    as it stands

these are out: vitali, haye, povetkin, solis, toney, valuev

he has already beaten: chambers, chagaev, thompson

so we have arreola out of the top 10.

how about european top heavies like ustinov, dmitrenko, boystov, timor ibragimov?

obviously thompson has been calling him out also.

still enough options that fighting chisora would be ridiculous. but they are running out.

He is really having problems finding a decent opponent. I think someone has a well-thought of the matter .. 1. Wladimir Klitschko: He can't fight himself.
    2. Vitali Klitschko: He can't fight his brother.
    3. David Haye: He can't fight a guy who won't fight him.
    4. Tomasz Adamek: Adamek's taking a weak fight against Vinny Maddalone on December 9, but he seems to be building to fighting a Klitschko next year. For now, he gets a pass.
    5. Alexander Povetkin: Povetkin has twice backed out of signed fights with Wladimir.
    6. Eddie Chambers: Already beat him.
    7. Tony Thompson: Already beat him.
    8. Ruslan Chagaev: Already beat him.
    9. Cristobal Arreola: Injured, plus Vitali already beat him and Arreola has not improved his standing since then to say the least.
    10. Odlanier Solis: It'd be nice, but it won't happen.

well solis is fighting austin. i agree that out of the top 10, only arreola is a viable option. and maybe thompson since he looked good before the loss, and after the loss.

he needs to look at the likes of helenius, boystov, dmitrenko, ustinov.

and the whole "vitali already beat him" is not a valid excuse. if it was, haye wouldnt need to fight anyone in the top 10, since none are unbeaten (bar solis)

Toney is reaping some karma for embarrassing the sport of boxing for a payday with his MMA farce.

The IBF just confirmed what most of us know: Toney is done. He needs to go away.

Toney`s style could make him hard for Wald to hit, [if Toney was in shape, younger and actually cared about winning anymore]

    Amazing skills gone to waste.

This is a positive. Toney would talk a big game and then tank it on fight night.

hmmm actually this shouldnt really affect anything? have the wbo refused to sanction it?

hasegawa wasnt sanctioned by the wbo when he fought montiel and the fight still went ahead.

margo and clottey werent sanctioned by the ibf when they fought cotto and the fights still went ahead.

You would think with all the non-sense that he has been drawing himself towards, like he is desperate for paydays...........:huh I dunno I think he should just retire or maybe take a couple of no name opponent bouts here and there, to stay in shape and have some kind of income....But in all honesty competing at the top/elite level for him, well that ship already sailed.
