The issue wasn't "for sure." The issue is the ease at which people are dismissing the man who broke Jai's jaw and arguably beat him.

Yes, Briedis will be older, but it is JAi that got the wear and tear.

They stripped him of the belt - that says all I need to know.

Look who Briedis is fighting and look who Jai is fighting and you do the maths.

Briedis resume is stacked (including a fight w/ Charr at heavyweight) and Jai has fought who yet oh just Mairis.

Get off his knob until he actually fights someone you rate ffs

Yes Jai should just keep on waiting while turning down Saudi money & hoping that this time Briedis will be ready. Briedis had no problem with Jai fighting Zorro as a stay busy fight, it was IBF who suddenly discovered rules that they conveniently ignored for years in the case of Spence jr

You are 1 of the few clowns who thinks "muh IBF" did something great, go read the reactions of Boxing fans to what went down

Zurdo barely squeaked past Joe Smith jr (a 10 rounder with a 193 lbs catchweight limit not even proper CW) & he did f*ck all to deserve this fight, unless Briedis is completely past it he should walk through him, so I don't know what you are implying by "look who he is fighting"

It is a crap fight for mor*ns like you & the IBF just f*cked Briedis out of a Saudi payday as well as Jai has 1 or 2 more fights with Saudis & Briedis could have been 1 of them instead of going to purse bid against the great Zurdo

Get off the knobs of corrupt sanctioning bodies officials

Firstly, he wasn’t stripped. He vacated the belt. Briedis was the third mandatory the IBF dictated to Opetaia who wasn’t ready to fight or looked in a different direction.

As for doing the maths… Opetaia’s team did exactly that. What he’s getting for his next fight in Saudi is approximately 10 times what he made against Briedis the first time around. No brainer really. Like I said, Briedis unfortunately is the loser here missing out on that Saudi payday. His team were happy to let Zorro fight first and have him face the winner.

Funny thing too that the IBF sent that open letter threatening to strip him long after the Zorro fight was signed & it was just 2 weeks away. Where were they when it was first announced in that big London press conference that was getting wall to wall coverage? Hiding under a rock?

Right first Masternak pulled out, then Riakporhe, & Thompson stepped in. That's 2 IBF mandatories that kept stringing him along
