    IBF is ordering negotiations to begin between Funeka and Reyes for the vacant title, all because Joan is on a 30 medical suspension for injuries sustained in the fight.

    The suspension will be over in a couple weeks! WTF is this crap? The fight was a DRAW. Like it or not! Wait the 2 freakin weeks and let Funeka and Guzman work on the rematch, it is the fair thing to do!

    Guzman is being raped and this is truly a dark, depressing day for boxing.

    **** Guzman. Funeka won that fight clearly. Guzman won no more than 3 rounds. And he was unlucky with Campbell, it's about time the guy got a break.

    he doesnt deserve to be get a rematch because of what some horrible judges said...finally some justice, make his ass wait

    Funeka should already be the IBF champ anyway.

    It was a truly dark, depressing day for boxing the moment they announced funeka vs guzman a draw.

    there's no issue with Funeka here. He was going to fight for the vacant title again regardless. When #1 and #2 fight and they draw, the only thing to do is give them the option to do it again. And the IBF isn't allowing that to happen.

    A real travesty.

    you will be the only one on this board thinking guzman is getting robbed. in a perfect world yes, but in a perfect world he would have lost a UD the first time and there would be no need for a rematch

    there were many close rounds in that fight. THe notion that Funeka was robbed has been greatly exaggerated and, in fact, it has been discredited!

    Yea the first 3 rounds were close and i gave those to Guzman out of sympathy.

    Funeka dismantled Guzman.
    If i was him i would go back to Africa and stop fighting in the states.
    He gets ****ed everytime he does.

    what's the bigger tragedy?

    joan being bypassed for an unmerited rematch, or funeka having to fight for a vacant title?

    or better yet, funeka having to fight for the vacant title that he rightfully won the first time?

    Actually I agree, Guzman got his ass handed to him all night long, theres no doubt about that.

    But the fight was scored a draw and should be a rematch between Funeka and Guzman and no one else.

    Come on....I was ringside and Funeka clearly won 9 rounds. I even went to pie during the 10th round because it was a total one-side bout. We all fell down our chair when we heard the scores. Even Guzman didn't believe what he heard.

    it is a bright day for boxing when the IBF says **** YOU to the judges who had that a draw since it was not a close fight....u can say it was a draw and I guess officialy it was but too bad...he got destroyed and should at best win another fight to get a chance at the title....and the judges who had it a draw should be fired

    FUNEKA should have a belt...bottom line...awful judging or corruption needs to stop and a commision should step in and say FUNEKA is the champ...the fight was not close...4-5 rds were close 6-7 were slaughter...NOONE had guzman winning that fight...NOONE except the judges
