the only way hatton becomes mando is buy beating maidana, beating senchenko will get him up there but not the number 1 spot. the reason why olusegun couldn't get the shot was because he was with dibella who couldn't force the WBC to do anything really. wheras golden boy will ensure maidana gets his shot, they have nothing to gain from malignaggi losing to hatton so they would much rather keep a fighter like maidana happy in their stable.

maliganaggi might want hatton, but malignaggi will do what golden boy say, plus paulie can't draw like saturday showed. he was fighting in his hometown and the fans were supporting cano, tells you everything. the brooklyn born fighter that will make the barclays centre his home is danny jacobs who can attract fans because of his exciting style and obvious great story.

Going by the way rankings change without any bouts being fought, I think after a fight if they want Hatton to be up there he will be.

Errmm ... how about because if GBP aren't willing to outbid Matchroom Devon is obliged to travel? Those are the rules. You don't get to stay at home because you're the champ.

    Educate me please.

As Brook is the mandatory, does it immediately go to purse bids? Also, let's say Hearn does win the purse bid, I assume there is nothing stopping Alexander from just vacating.

Before it goes to purse bids both sides get a chance to negotiate with each other and come to an agreement. It's only if/when they can't that a purse bid is called.

you can guarantee that they won't come to an agreement. i think matchroom will not allow kell to travel to anywhere in the u.s.a against an american fighter.

it will probably play out like this, golden boy and matchroom can't get an agreement, goes to purse bids, matchroom wins, devon refuses to defend in the u.k, alexander is stripped, kell fights a bum for the title in march/april.

Jesus ****ing christ some fellows really are suckers for hype, Alexander is 10,000 leagues above everyone Brook has fought especially Saldivia

Theres no way any logical thinking man would think Brook handles Alexander easily based his performance against the Argie

Brook will have his work cut out against Alexander. Alexander might not be a flashy fighter but he will be in Brooks face for 12 rounds. We will see how fit Brook is then.

There's more chance of Brook travelling than Alexander

Yeah, and I can't see either party coming to an agreement - can you? GBP will make a reasonable offer to stage the fight in the States. Hearn will refuse and make a counter offer which in turn will be rebuffed. I willing to bet that this'll go to purse bids.
