    It doesn't matter, he will get it back in due course. Saudi money might make the WBO title fight happen (overcoming the fact that Billam-Smith is signed with Ben Shalom's Boxxer as is Riakporhe) which Jai always wanted as his grandpa is fond of the WBO title

    Disgraceful antics by the IBF. Like I've been saying for a while now, Down Under boxing has surpassed US boxing and the elite boys from the later have morphed from lions into gazelles and are quaking in their booties and are running scared of the top boys from Down Under.

    This is clearly a political move by them to try and sabotage Down Under boxing. They allowed E-Spence to sit on that IBF title going way back to biblical times without making a mandatory defence and even after he did do they let him sit on it for years more IIRC

    I was just gonna say to your post about Errol that we all know why fighters from a certain country (& adjacent countries with a potential fanbase in this certain country) somehow always manage to have the sanctioning bodies forget these rules that they conveniently only remember when it comes to guys like Jai who wasn't even ducking or dodging. He was hoping that it would be Briedis on the 23rd & Briedis didn't even seem to have an issue with this fight as he knew Jai was ready whenever he was healed,**** the IBF

    Yeah it's outrageous they've done this to him, especially considering how long they let Spence sit on their strap without making a mandatory defence.

    Briedis is the one who couldn't fight on this date due to injury not Jai and it's not like Jai is trying to wriggle out of rematching him or is going to make him wait more than 3 or 4 months max after he destroys Zorro.

    Looks like he will become a mandatory to whoever wins the vacant title as per IBF's own rules. So the title might come right back to him

    Breidis ist even fit to fight in December,

    According to Hearn, it had been agreed that Opera and Breidis would fight in February assuming he beat Ellis.

    The whole thing sounds ridiculous.

    Opetaia rules the division. The IBF are braindead, corrupt morons. Opetaia is right to tell them to GAGF and if i was him I wouldn't even bother to come back looking for Breidis under their banner. He's going to have options all over the place. He may even go up to HW and take a look at Usyk if Usky beats the fat, fake gypsy. Tune up with some gatekeeper like Chisora and then go after the HW straps.
