Joe held on to that pointless belt for too long. He was too wrapped up in getting the record of most defences (which means **** all nowadays). He was in such a weak division that he should have dropped that belt and aimed at becoming Ottke's mandatory and battering him in Germany or move up and challenge Roy. What would you rather do challenge the P4P best or stay in one of the worst divisions in boxing at the time defending the WBO belt :-(
I was at the Pudwill fight atsch To be fair though, he was a replacement for Thomas Tate who was a replacement for David Telesco. Tate was a world rated super middle and Telesco was a world rated light heavy. **** knows where this Liles thing is coming from...:huh
Hatred? :huh Look, I am a fan of Joe C. Been a fan of his longer then most guys here have been posting. Please don't go all dickhead fanboy on me, because that's exactly what you did, based on a simple comment. Forgive me if I find two guys in the same division setting a record on defenses to look a little questionable. Just the very idea of two guys doing it at the same time in the same division is almost a mockery.
That's a great breakdown, thanks for posting it. :good I knew the Kessler win was big, but even I didn't know he was that connected to the 168 title picture.
