WBC are a joke, mandatory opposition is chosen and plucked from anywhere to leapfrog those who deserve it.
Time will tell what these new WBC Mickey mouse belts stand for.

I will see if I can upload a clip I taped on my flipphone back in 2008 IBHOF. When Jose Suliaman was introduced, everyone booed him. It was surreal.

I tend to think that WBA is the most corrupted among the four organizations. But somehow WBC always amazingly and sensationally managed to best them in this category.

WBA has ridiculous decisions over the years (including the regular and super champion thing), but so far they don't really like to talk about them. WBC, on the other hand, seems has no shame to brag about all the ridiculous things they introduce or doing over the years.

    I agree.
The WBC seems to have taken the stance of "Yes, we are obviously and blatantly corrupt. But we're getting away with it anyway." ever since Sulaiman Jr was about 2 years in office. After at first seemingly looking to turn things around.
The whole thing with the WBC 200+, 175, 168, 160 has been a complete soap opera , in which it's even guessing when the last actual 160 vs mandatory challenger has been. Which might have been Martinez vs Pavlik from almost a decade ago. The 168 drama show, where the belt changed hands 9 times over the decade and is supposed to change again tomorrow, making it 10 times in just as many years with many vacancies.
The 175 situation has been adressed many times, in which basically Stevenson got KO'd and permanently injured fighting his first mandatory after winning the title over 5 years prior.
The 200+ thing is one for the ages too. We had Stiverne and Wilder as beltholder, with Stiverne (2x) and Breazeale as appointed mandatories after the belt was dropped by Vitali back in the day. STIVERNE AND BREAZEALE! Over much better fighters in the division, and ofter higher ranked but not officially mandatories. Stiverne even managed to get a mandatory position after a) Not winning a fight in almost 3 years, or 2 years if you count the controversial Rossy fight. b) Getting caught on a prohibited substance. c) Refusing to fight anyone for the official mandatory position, after Povetkin got busted too. Because the WBC, PBC and Wilder "reluctantly" obviously wanted that "rematch".

The WBA however seem even more corrupt, but still trying to hide it a little unlike the WBC. Their often ridiculous rankings, certainly at heavyweight, which are clearly manipulated. And their multiple "world" titles, up to often 4 in a single division, also in many cases created so certain boxers don't have to fight eachother.
Sometimes it comes back to bite them in the ass, like the whole Oquendo situation, which only happened because of their own initial ranking manipilation. Or do their clusterfunk when they were trying to make Haye vs unranked Harrision, first making a statement that the fight couldn't happen because Harrison wasn't ranked, and then only a couple days later coming up with a sudden inbetween rankings update with Harrison suddenly at #14 without fighting, even overtaking a guy that actually fought and won recently. Then still trying to justify it afterwards.

There should only be one world champ for each weight division. Too many alphabet soup champions. It is only for money, no prestige in the fight game. Big fights used to be seen on the air waves, but greed seems to prevail. We have promoters charging unfair prices to view a big bout on television, even closed circuit was not as expensive as today. Only the alphabet soup bunch and the promoters profit, the consumer does not have a chance anymore. Too bad.
