that was cool. I was very impressed by how measured Norris was in this fight. Even though Leonard had a big advantage in both experience and having the crowd backing him. I could see this when I attended a public viewing of the fight.

It was satisfying to see Terry take the crowd out of the equation, just following the plan set by his trainers.

In the second round, Ray was told to put pressure on the kid, that he didnt like it downstairs but success was thwarted as Terry smartly tied him up and stymied his offense. near the end of that round the hand speed started to come out and by round 3 was already kicking ass

This would not be another up in the air robbery like Hagler-Leonard . Terry norris made SURE of that!

In the third, Norris began beating Leonard with sickening regularity. Ray recovered admirably but was no match for the speed of Norris (spelled S-P-E-E-D)

Every time Ray tried getting back into the fight, Terry just re-applied the formula: Make him miss then make him PAY!

The way Terry made Leonard pay, you'd have thought Terry was Bank of America charging its customers late fees

The Camacho fight was in some ways even more satisfying because Hector refused to let Ray escape being a knockout victim for the first time. Ray tried, you could see the anxious look in his eyes as he tried to escape but the fists were flying too fast N furious. Hector reminded me of a young Hagler as he went to work, both hands churning endlessly as the ref mercifully stepped in to save the life of that young man and spare boxing another black eye

This would probably be a cool idea for some of the lesser known guys. Ray Leonard though...I don't know, man.

Thinkin the same. Appreciate the effort from the OP but every real fan can grasp SRL's career quite easily and any fan can get his dvd's on any site that sells career sets. Same can be said for any superstar HOF'er/ATG really.

Nice one. I haven't seen some of this stuff for years and years and years.

... and now I'm a Sugar Ray Leonard fan all over again. What a fighter. :D

Watched the Floyd Mayweather and Donny Lalonde fights today.
In the Laonde fight He starts slow but comes on at the end before getting the knockout.
I didn't score ether fight. I have the sense I would have given Lalonde the first four rounds and Leonard the next four before the stoppage in the 9th.
I need to go back and score the Mayweather bout. It seemed like Mayweather would win the first 2:00 of each round and Leonard the last 1:00, but in that last :60 Leonard landed the better punches. I think the stoppage was premuture but what should have been a +2 advantage for Leonard I think he would have won on my card had it gone the distance.

In both fights Leonard shows his stringth when both Lalonde and Mayweather tries to hold when they are hurt and Leonard is able to break free and land punches.
