Will be signed in the next 24 hours Bika V Manfredo. It beat out Andre Dirrell V Victor Oganov which could not get it's show or TV date together in time

Is this the Phil Austin from the IBO?
If it is, I'd appreciate if you could clarify something for me.
How is it possible that a boxer can fight for the IBO Asia Pacific light heavy title and lose KO 3 and then in his next fight get a shot at the IBO asia pacific super middle title?
it seems like fighters don't have to do anything to get a shot at your belt Phil. You give away title shots like hot cakes. i guess your stance is that as long as they pay the fees, who cares?
well, the boxing fans care Phil. you ruin the credibility of the sport in the general publics eyes.

Long time ago Barge and times have changed dramatically we have turned down quite a few match-ups and have gotten a lot more stringent about what we will allow for match-ups these days. In pointing your finger at us, you might want to also cast that gaze at other organisations and what they have been allowing and still allow to this day

You are not addressing my point regarding other organisations. What about all the good fights that have been fought for these titles? You only want to look at the negative and that is entirely up to you but you are hardly putting forward a balanced argument now are you? Waters-Heremaia was a ******* as was Medley's fights for this title, as was SMA-McKay, as was Butar-Butar V Dalisay in Indonesia and you might be interested to know that Dalisay was the third opponent submitted for the fight so it hardly shows we are just throwing anyone in there now does it? Now what about my comment to you regarding the other organisations - care to comment on that?

Phil, my argument was about giving a losing fighter two shots in a row for a title in the same organization. You are going off topic.
We all know that all the regional bodies sanction mismatched fights. that will probably not change for a while.
however, not many allow a fighter two shots in a row, when they lose the first title shot by KO3.
If i was a young fighter with a ranking and missed out on a title shot because you decided to give a losing fighter another chance, i would be a bit upset.

No I am not Barge, I was saying that we no longer do that and you were singling us out like we are the only ones doing it. Your one point is from a fight two years ago. If a better ranked fighter at that stage had wanted to fight for it all well and good he would have gotten a preference. That wasn't the case and you are also splitting hairs by singling out this one fight as I have said plenty other organisations have done worse than this match-up wise but you have a beef with the IBO or me. He was the only bloke willing and available to fight Nader on that date so that is why it went ahead
