I just watched Oquendo vs Mormeck. I scored it 7-0-3 for Oquendo. The decision was an utter travesty. One of the most brazen, shameless robberies I've ever seen.

  2. You don't make much sense. So basically what you're saying is:you think Mitchell is going to win or lose. No Kidding. Those are his only 2 options. You said " I expect mitchell to hit the dirt within 6 or just str8 up out boxing him with ease" well those are 2 completely different things. Do you think Mitchell will win or lose?
Ibragimov is going to be KO'd inside of 8.

:patsch What does 7-0-3 even mean.

    Three even rounds?

Correct. Even when Mormeck seemed most aggressive and assertive, most of his punches were blocked on Oquendo's arms. By contrast, in those same rounds, Oquendo can be seen scoring often with light jabs and potshot rights and hooks.

I just couldn't give a single round to Mormeck. I was generous in scoring 3 even.

Interestingly, in this fight, Mormeck looks much less fit and energetic than he did against Ibragimov. Maybe Mormeck was still ad******g to his newly added weight. Or maybe Mormeck learned from his mistakes against Oquendo, and improved. Mormeck even looks more sculpted and toned (physically) for the Ibragimov fight.

Even so, I don't believe that Mormeck really beat Ibragimov either. A draw probably would have been fairest.

Oquendo's punches may have been light, but at least they connected. Mormeck didn't score with much in return. Oquendo clearly outboxed -- and at times even outslugged -- Mormeck.

Also, Oquendo didn't really hold much in the bout. He initiates minor clinches, but generally restrains himself. For what it's worth, Mormeck is seen clinching almost as much as Oquendo does.

The decision is one of the most brazen, shameless robberies I have ever seen in my life.

Mitchell is gonna beat him. His skills are still developing but he works very hard and has alot of heart. it will be interesting to see what happens but I think that Mitchell bests him in a UD or even hurts him badly in the process of a ko.

Curiously, does anyone know how Ibragimov did against Oliver McCall? Was that a robbery or a fair decision? Does anyone have a copy of the fight film?

It sounds like an interesting fight. I should check out some of Mitchell's fights. I have not seen him in action at this point.

The official punchstats heavily favored Oquendo. I did notice that Mormeck looked much more sluggish than against Ibragimov. Possibly Mormeck had an off night against Oquendo, as it was his 1st serious match at heavyweight, and he may not have known how to prepare himself for bigger, stronger opponents.

Lots of Oquendo's punches were picked off on Mormeck's guard. But even so, Oquendo connected with more than enough shots to have deserved the verdict by a wide margin.

You don't beleive that the top heavyweights are juicing? Think again. You can almost always tell by the way a fighter's physique looks.

Wow, someone with a brain.....don't mean to include you with the boxrec warriors like Alien and President.................I'm saying you must have watched the fight.

Ibragimov was bothered by Mormecks constant in and out and forced aggression. Not hurt much, but bothered and forced to cover for much of the rounds he lost.

The rounds I gave him were the one's he had Mormeck backing up for brief moments, but even those rounds couldv'e went to JMM for more thrown punches. Yeah, close fight as Mormeck seemed intimidated by the power early in the fight, but as it went on, seemd JMM stepped up his rate and tiggy's power fade.

As for the Mitchell/Tiggy affari, I don't know why people are calling tiggy the underdog in this. Yeah, Mitchells got huge power, and a solid beard and decent enough jab, but Tiggy's got loads more exp in the Bclass as Mitchells opposition has been limited due to his being so feared by the pretenders.

I got Seth in this, and IMO, he'll be the first to stop Tiggy......likely a TKO later in the fight. Tiggy will be bothered by the agressive Mitchell, and will be covering earlier than he was vs Mormeck. The ref's only gonna let him hold a high guard for so long before he calls a halt.

    Mitchell by TKO 7

Ibragimov threw more and landed more punches in the final three rounds. I don't know what fight you were watching. If you have a copy of the bout, watch again. This time watch the final three rounds in slow motion, and I have no doubt you'll agree with me.

It was a hard fight to score, but if you watch closely, you'll see that Ibragimov won.

Mormeck won the 6th, 7th, and 9th in a big way. He eked out the 5th and 8th. That's it, though. Ibragimov won the rest of the rounds by a close margin.
