Iggy is far from the real champ, if he beats Wlad then hell yeah hes the real champ. Iggy is going to get beat like he stole something, this is Iggy's retirement match.

I have a lot of respect for Sultan, he does have the heart of a champion. But he hasn't proven himself to be the "real heavyweight champion" yet. If he defeats Wlad - which I can't imagine, but anything is possible - he'll be a unified heavyweight champion.

How many pro fighters retire after their very first loss (to the best heavy out there), and being only 32 years old?

No way he retires, regardless of what happens. I see him taking either a brutal KOing, or running for 12 and losing a decision.......but either way, I think Ibragimov will certianly continue on, regardless of if he announces a retirement, or not.

To answer your first question, Rydell Booker who was an undefeated Heavyweight hopeful retired after getting his ass beat badly by James Toney, he was 22-0 and was like 24 years old.

Iggy has already made mention of getting out of boxing soon, he wants to go and pursue other things, I have a feeling this is just a paycheck for him. I guess will have to wait and see what happens, but I wouldnt be surprised if he retires after Wlad destroys him.

Wow, this is the first time I hear somebody calling Booker as a HW HOPEFUL:lol: I am wondering HOPEFUL of what?

If memory serves me right, he retired because he went to prison for a long long time not because he lost to another HW HOPEFUL Toney.

He was ranked in the top 20 for a fact and Im pretty sure he was closing in on a top 10 spot if he beat Toney. I didnt know he ended up in jail, but I will have to research that, all I know is I never seen him fight after Toney so I assumed he retired after the fight because he was so thoroughly destroyed that night.

K you won't be back after Wlado kicks the crap out of him I take it and you get embarassed.

Ibragimov fought the weakest heavyweight champ since John Ruiz. BRIGGS! hahahahahahah

Yeah, uh, that's because nobody with a belt has the nuts to fight him, or they want a paycheck they can hand down to their grandkids because they know a fight with Wlad could end their career.

That said, I've been giving Iggy credit on these boards for actually stepping up for the unification.

But haven't you paused to consider that none of this will matter after Wlad beats his ass like he's making a Russian omelet?

Did you even look at any info. before coming up with all this BS? Booker was a crusier that moved to HW. He was not even in the top 50 as he had not fought anybody in HW or CW for that matter. Yes, he got outboxed by Toney but destroyed is way too strong of the word. Finally, Bokker was schedued to fight somedody after the fight with Toney but went to jail for selling drugs if I am not mistaken. Please do us a favor, do not post made up crap because people like Standi may beleive it.

IMO, this is about money for Iggy. As was the fight with Holy.

Have you seen the shots from the promotion? Iggy looks like a tubby Barney Rubble.

I have a feeling it will be a career high weight for Iggy when he steps in against Wlad.

Yes, I was mistaken. I honestly didnt know he went to jail after the loss to Toney. I have the fight on tape, he lost every round of that fight, so yes he was completely destroyed.

And for your information your wrong, Rydell was ranked highly enough for it to be a WBC title eliminator match when he fought Toney. Rydell was a promising Heavyweight at the time with an impressive arm reach and had great hand speed for a Heavyweight, he was a promising Heavyweight.

You seriously believe Holy had a chance against Wlad??? Seriously?

Come on. He only looked "revitalised" because he fought Bates and Savarese IMO.

Holy is done. Wlad would have cut years off his life.
