I have the inside scoop on Ibragimov as he lives near me. Sultan is parting ways with Mayweather ( his trainer ), and going back to his old style. He will fight in 2009. I'd like to see Ibragimov vs Haye.
He and Timor are not related, at all, contrary to popular belief. But that said, I think Ibragimov needs to try and increase his power, first and foremost...............Then, he can rebuild his name by beating an up and comer, like Dimitrenko, or Arreola. I have little doubt he'd thrash Arreola, and he'd probably beat Dimi, and maybe even Povetkin, as well. Very good boxer with fast hands and a great workrate with good stamina. He just lacks power, and KOs are what the division thrives on..........I think he'll be back before long, as he's only something like 33, and has only been beaten once, and that was to the best heavyweight in teh world. Certainly no reason to hang em up. Here's a good segment on Sultan leading up to his Klitschko unification fight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RE2lAfAZSXE
Ibragimov should fight on, he can still win a piece of the title, he surely can't be past his prime, but I was very disappointed in the Klitschko fight, I think Wladimir may have a southpaw phobia from the Corrie Sanders fight.
No they are not related. It was a promotion deal when the were under the same promoter. They wanted to cash in like the Klitschko broters. Timor was let go after loosing to Tony Thompson in a major ass snoozer.
