Would it be a good idea to ice skate during the winter to improve one's footwork?
This a joke?
Why not, theres a lot of Pluses there to integrate with Legs, Balance Posture, Rhythm.
Don't forget table tennis.
Quite a few amateurs take dancing lessons to improve posture, balance, rhythm, coordination and general awareness of their close surroundings.
So if ice skating offers any of those, by all means give it a try.
Of course, there are better alternatives. Shadow box, ask your trainer where you need more focus and go from there.
Ice skating for boxing improvement? Nope.
I think skating in general may improve balance
Like everything it would have some transfer, I wouldn't think too much with ice skating.
