Not sure this is the right place for this post, so let me know if it is not. I'll go to New-York in a couple days and I figured it would be great to come across some historic boxing places.
Other than Madison Square Garden and Gleason's gym, do you know any place with cool boxing-related anecdotes in NYC for a fellow boxing fan?
    Thanks in advance

Jimmy’s Corner bar off Times Square is boxing themed with tons of old posters and autographed photos.

    Beat me to it.

I was just there a few weeks ago. Always go when I’m in NYC. Great place and astonishing prices considering it’s midtown. $4 beers.

Yeah I love that place. I also always go, usually make it to NYC once or twice a year. And I’ve been fortunate that several times when I’ve gone there on business it’s coincided with a fight card. And I’ve also gone a few times just for boxing.

The sidewalk in front of Dapper Dan's (which was on 125th between Madison and 5th) where Tyson and Mitch Green brawled....

The Cotten Club was founded by Jack Johnson, the original club was located on 48th street I think. I'm not sure if Dempsey's resteraunt is still open or whether it tanked like Sugar Ray's. Cus D'Amato's old haunt, the Gramacy Gym, was on east 14th street, no idea what it is now. The Telestar club, where Emile Griffith trained with Gil Clancy, was on west 28th street. You'd have more fun visiting Detroit to be honest, stuff doesn't last in NYC sadly.

There’s “Jack Demseys” on 33rd but that’s not to be confused with Jack Dempsey’s though of course I did confuse them.
