Clottey deserves to be criticised. He was simply happy to be there and didn't come to win. Kevin Johnson got destroyed on this forum for not throwing enough vs. Vitali. Vitali has the highest KO percentage in HW history and is mch bigger than Johnson. We also found out later that Johnson had a torn bicep.

Now if it's ok to criticize him, why is it not ok to criticize Clottey? He was fighting a smaller guy who never hurt him or even marked up his face. Despite this, it seemed like he was afraid to get hit and even afraid to hit Pacquiao too much. He kept coming foward while Pac was in a defenive shell and still wouldn't throw a punch. He would hit Pac with two or three punches and then go back into a shell for the rest of the round. At the very least we expect these guys to show up and compete. Clottey didn't even do that.

You'd hate to have stashed away 1.5 million big ones without a bruise on your face?

clottey did what everyone including arum knew he would do. he never has let his hands go. why do you think team pac and arum picked him? perfect fit for manny. maybe a little more collateral damage for pac then they wouldve liked. i believe clottey is ok with his performance.

Damn, I'd love to be Clottey right now with about $2M in my bank.

He's fought his game and just did not get the timing. But who would with over 100 punches thrown at you every round. That is almost one punch every second and a half. Everytime he tried, Pac goes berzerk and bang bang bang bang. :D

Nothing to be ashamed of. He just ran into someone that doesn't stop punching and his wait tactic didn't work in that situation even though he threw and landed some good right hands they weren't enough. Clottey couldn't afford to be too active and run out of gas only to get KO'd later.

In my opinion his black ass should be deported back to Ghana and cause no one wants to see this coward again.

If you wanna be a Charlie Zelenoff type punk fine, do it for 100 dollar fights.

But this was in front of 50 K people. On PPV. Boxing's pride was one line and he put on such a cowardly performance.

    V A G I N A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How you gonna look your daughter into her eyes coward?????

For that much money on such a big stage, least he could do was pretend to try and get knocked out.

    VAGINA!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree 100%
The only possible competition or even risk to Pac's unstoppable movement is Mayweather. We're dealing with something truly different. People need to stop hating on DLH/Hatton/Cotto/Clottey because of the end results. The next guy who gets in line will probably end up the same way, no matter how good he is, how many times decorated world champion.

  10. I doubt very much that Clottey will visit these forums to see what we think.

Clottey has nothing to be ashamed of, he didn't get KTFO in 2 rounds or busted up like Cotto did and ran. He showed he can take a punch and has heart. Yes, he didn't open up. But he showed that when he did he was strong.I got nothing but respect.

Clottey has more money than all of us here and is overall a genuinely nice guy. I doubt he gives a flying **** what people think about him - he did the best he could, got paid and recognition. No shame in losing to the best fighter of this era.

Kevin Johnson gets destroyed on here after his fight with Vitali and Clottey gets praised. Funny stuff.
