Sanders was a pretty big puncher, and nobody claims Wlad has ever had an iron chin. It is what it is. This is boxing. I could post gifs of Lewis getting KTFO and claim he had a glass chin, but I actually believe he had a very solid chin and just got caught with good shots a couple of times

 

I don't think Wlad is Glass either, just underrated. His legs get bloody weak though. I think Lewis's complacently plays a part with his KO losses to Rahman & Mccall.

 

Standing on a box would mess up your footwork and balance. It might also affect you mentally going all out, in case you fall off the box.

 

Complacency is still a factor you should take into account when you rate a fighter. Complacency has probably damaged as many fighters' careers as a weak chin. As an example, I don't rate Bowe as highly as most, because I believe his lack of professionalism* would prevent him becoming an ATG in any era he could fight in. There's never been an era without Golota level fighters. Similarly, while I think Lewis would be the top guy in whatever era he fould in, I don't believe he could go his whole career without one or two upsets
