I think Cotto would beat Willaims. He is way too open to be hit, as seen with BOTH Quintana fights (Quintana was landing some pretty big punches the second fight till he got knocked out). Cotto is faster, more accurate, and hits harder than Quintana. Thoughts?

I would favour Cotto to beat everybody at 147lb with the exception of Antonio Margarito.

I don't know. Quitana is a southpaw. I think that caused a lot of problems for Williams (he obviously adusted well...)

    Williams range might bother Cotto

ONe thing for sure, i would watch that!

It kills how fickle fans can be a 1 round ko does'nt erase 12 rounds of getting outclassed and looking very flawed and that's the case with Williams most fans shunned him after his loss to Quintana then hopped back on the bandwagon in their rematch.

Williams would beat Cotto and easily. Cotto is a midget who is also a quitter. The size and reach advantage alone wins this one for Williams.

Williams TKO 9 when Cotto quits on his stool.

I too agree that Williams is probably too big for Cotto.

If Cotto were to KO Tony in one round I would call that fight fixed. And no It would'nt erase what happen in the first Margo/Cotto mainly because Cotto got his first L and showed some of his flaws. As far as Williams is concerned he had 12 whole rounds to get Quintana out of there but could'nt in the first fight and he was getting hit very easily so a 1 round ko does'nt erase the fact that Williams can get outboxed and hit very easily in the process.

What is it called when you take a knee with no punch landed like he did? He did not want to continue so he quit.

Alright. His body gave up. So? Rahman is a quiter. Cotto gave everything. Of course, people like you would prefer a guy standing up with no defense and getting permanently damaged. I'll stop here so i'll not disrespect you.

Williams will look like a freak against Cotto, PW's reach will keep Cotto at a distance because Paul doesn't have the power to stop Cotto. I don't care what happened to Quintana, but if Cotto gets inside Williams somehow, he will put some punishment on those ribs.

I feel that Cotto quiting when he did was the right call. It probably would have ruined him if he had tried to finish the bout, like David Reid after he lost against Trinidad for expamle.

If only Arum was as confident as many people in this thread. When Margo fought Williams, Arum said he would match Cotto up with Margo if Margo won and he would possibly match Cotto up with Williams if Williams won and the fight was entertaining. Well, Williams won an entertaining bout, called out Cotto, and was ignored. Trust me, Williams is far from an easy opponent for Cotto. I highly doubt Arum will ever let Cotto get in there with Williams. He didn't even want Margarito to fight him.
