    Not that You should care, but I'll give You a little support.

    I see what You mean, in past era's there was far more competition among ranked fighters, so fighters who got themselves into contender status, on average fought and beat higher number of high caliber opponent with wider variety of styles, to prove their worth and abilities.

    In Usyk's case, I still think that at Cruiserweight - He's as proven as it gets. Level of competition at the division at the time was really good, particulary for today's standard. Usyk also fought all kinds of styles.
    Huck, actually, is probably among his less significant scalps, I thought He was always overrated and was clearly over the hill at the time, but other than that, He was beating top guys, mostly on the road, most of them in their prime. Southpaw, orthodox, boxers, punchers, all kinds of boxing-schools and techniques, younger fighters and veterans.

    I think it's also worth noting, that in amateur game - You still have standard of competition that is comparable to the old time professional game.. and Usyk rose to the top there also and was very dominant once He reached his prime.
    He's a special fighter.

    Usyk great but also now we see he get overrated
    the best wins = Anthony Joshua. 2 wins by decisions. 12 rounds. no knock downs. & not actual even 'shut out ''
    & Joshua is no great boxer

    I agree with all of this. Usyk had a prolonged Amateur career. You are correct he beat really good guys, mopped up the heavyweight sized guys before going after the Superheavyweights in the pros. And he did it on the road, against the house..so it is about as good as it gets.

    AJ is a great super heavyweight and his resume is probably the best among the active SH division. So usyk beat a good guy.

    it’s the guys who made those guys though. Just a select number of live opponents within each resume of the guys beaten.

    AJ and Usyk have a larger percentage of live wins on their record than most. Today. But that would not be the case when Louis was around, when Louis lost to Schmeling.

    Even the ham and egg opponents had live wins.

    i like it Usyk & Fury both here around currently today & very skilled boxers at heavyweight & likely will match soon to settle

    but over/rating is real
    historic? no. they do not have proof to be compare as ' best ever "" in any respect . aspect. not tested
    basis on winning with against average heavyweight " paper champion ' ' Joshua, Wilder?

    As it stands now, Usyk is right where Micheal Spinks was after beating Larry Holmes twice.

    only difference is that was a linear title.

    The Superheavyweight division is devoid of his kind of talent, a fighter who relies on pure skills and work rate like usyk. So there is a sense of getting carried away with Fury and Usyk.

    AJ has nothing of ' live wins"" of real world class opposition
    his reputation most build up on beating of old man. is pathetic to have 3 world champion belts & nothing great on record. & mandate challenges almost 40 age. shows how boxing fallen since eras of competition.

    honest opinion Joshua only is small improvement of the Bruno. this type level. poor Bruno never chanced to collect belts in with against Charles Martin or 41 age Klitschko or the Joseph Parker. or defend with Breazeale Dominic or the Molina.

    most of 1980s "alphabet champion ' ' would win with & KO Joshua. & they had tougher challenges.
    men like Tim Witherspoon matched with 26 age Pinklon Thomas on for the 1st defense. Tony Tubbs match with Witherspoon.
    no Breazeale & Pulev for them

    I like to credit what AJ has done with being something that has happened in a new division. Separate from heavyweights. It doesn’t have a connection with heavyweight history because it is no longer the heavyweight division anyway. He has written SHW history. And in that division, he’s been great.

    there is no "SHW ' ' division. just lost twice with 220 pound (same size as heavyweight of 70s, 80s).
    is 1 division.

    Joshua= not great

    Joshua= average/good contender levels
    + entertaining
    ++ marketable!

    In terms of comparison to the old division yes he is.

    If we regard the post Lewis history as a starting point of a brand new division, AJ has been fantastic. But it has nothing to do with heavyweight history.

    He’s writing SHW history and among those characters hes already an all time great. Many people christened him as such before he lost to Ruiz. Then he beat Ruiz back.first two time champ in SHW history.

    Now that AJ has lost to a heavyweight it cannot tarnish his two time record as a SHW great.

    when Bob Foster lost to Frazier band Ali it never detracted from his lightheavyweight status.

    Spinks didnt have to survive like Usyk survived that ninth round, Usyk is bigger and more robust than Spinks was, I don`t think Tyson could have finished him with one shot.

    The experience Usyk had in the amateurs gave him a huge advantage over AJ and would have given him an edge over old-time heavies too, however amateur matches are completely different than pros matches, they only last three rounds, just think if Usyk`s fight with AJ on Satuday, look at what he had to adapt to in the 9th and how he had to cope with tiredness competely different ball game, surving tree rounds v a heavyweight without taking too much punishment would be one thing, surviing the shots Usyk had to on Saturday was another.

    AJ hasn`t done anything, what the hell did he do that was so great? The two fighters with the quickest hands beat him the same way Mike Tyson would have, boxing was at an all-time low when AJ won his first world title, the heavyweight division in simply better right now, same applies to Wilder, that whole unbeaten Wilder and J bull was two big fishes in a small pond end of.
