I'd pick Oleksander Usyk to beat Max Schmeling

Usyk is a horrible match up for Louis. The most nimble fighter he's ever fought AND one of the largest he's ever fought, who's also the GOAT 200lbs+ southpaw fighting a man who had a tendency leave his left hand low? Hm, Joe is pretty skilled himself and could potentially blast Usyk out, but he'd really struggle imo, I'd favour Usyk heavily more often than not. If they fight 3x Usyk wins at least twice.

 

I really don't know. Usyk is definitely really nimble, but he is aggressive and comes right at Joe's kill zone, that's just asking for trouble. He has the defence to avoid it, but that is a lot to ask of him for an entire fight. He will get caught with something eventually, and the deal breaker is whether or not it's a good one. Usyk has a very solid chin, but he is still prone to being hurt, and Louis does not pity when you're hurt. If Usyk tries to rally back, he is not going to win the exchange. But who knows, maybe he just boxes circles around Louis as he tries to set, which was something he really relied on, and Louis did not throw risky punches when he was not set.
