Pirog only has like 17 pro fights where as martinez has upwards of 40, they probably will never fight as martinez will retire by the time pirog is ready

    Rofl!

DOnt you dopes get it? Martinez is elite! This aint some no name fighter who got lucky and is champ.

Give pirog a chance to actually prove himself on that leve before you send him to a certain defeat lol.

    Martinez would smoke pirog.

Sturm would be a better test.

Pirog is one of the most advanced boxers I've seen. But I feel he'd be a bit too slow for Martinez.

Pirog is a real middleweight, and a big one at that. Martinez only wants to fight smaller guys.

Sergio is head and shoulders better than Daniel Jacobs. Cool your jets about Pirog, please.

Pirog is just too slow and unathletic, I don't see him pulling this one off.

edit: but those of you who had the Jacobs fight 3-1 are blind. I know thats what the judges had it, Jacobs was the favored fighter by promoters and Pirog was his sacrificial lamb....duh

    Martinez would handle him easily.

I love that you're still sticking with this argument despite the fact your hero made a living out of it and would probably still have his belt now if he didn't pick on the wrong smaller guy.

Pirog has inherited Jacob's hype like Maidana inherited Ortiz's. It's funny how people blast hype jobs but are then only too happy to hype up someone who beats the hype job.

Martinez wants big names and Pirog, who has 1 big win, doesn't meet that criteria.

Pirog is really becoming an overhype fighter thanks to most ******s here mainly booradley who is the biggest idiot. As some have said Pirog big win is by beating overhype Jacob. The same Jacob that was having trouble with freaking Smith.

Would present a sick amount of skills, wouldn't it? Such a shame HBO never put Pirog back on screen, I mean the guy just blew away one of their premier prospects and there's quite a Russian following in the US to build on, and what do they do? Put on stupid Berto fights and stuff. This year HBO seem to be more fan friendly, but where's Pirog's date? He needs to be built up with least two HBO fights, and soon because people will simply forget the kid. He is the goods, people should watch more fights of him.

Damn, that was vicious. But true. Pavlik is good, but he got whipped by a smaller guy who can still make 154 comfortably.

Pavlik gets whipped by guys who have superior boxing skills. He better be carefully matched at 68 or he'll probably get KTFO there instead of just beat up.
