I'd STILL Pick Deontay Wilder To KO Anthony Joshua...

It's going to take a few years for this to sink in with many people. And when it does they'll deny having been sucked in of course.

Joshua is a sharper puncher than Fury but obviously has less feints and defence. He'd beat Wilder 7/10 times.

AJ isn’t Fury, AJ still gets wrecked.

Fury isn't faster than Joshua. They're around the same speed. Fury is looser and more awkward and unorthodox, Joshua is crisper and more explosive. Both have the ability to outbox Wilder, Fury with his reach, timing and angles, Joshua with his well-schooled orthodox style.

I always knew Wilder would have a torrid time with Fury, and he gets blasted out by Joshua if they ever fight.

What’s funny is that Fury fans can’t even enjoy their moment because the AJ stans are even more excited that AJ can now duck Wilder because he lost.

Joshua showed in the second Ruiz fight that he has the ability to box and control the ring, not to the extent that Fury can but enough to control the likes of Wilder. And he has the speed and sharpness to beat Wilder to the punch while avoiding return fire. Wilder is extremely limited if he's put on the back foot, and Joshua has the quality of jab and concentration level to get Wilder dipping and swaying backwards and whiffing loopy counter shots while getting his head snapped back. Then once Wilder is against the ropes Joshua unloads his crisp explosive combos on Wilder and drops him in an uncoordinated heap.

Yep and all the things Fury did last night to take away Wilder's right hand Joshua already does.

Whenever Wilder looked to step forward, he extended his left hand, creating a barrier to prevent Wilder just jumping on him and cutting down the distance and landing the right hand. The few times Wilder was able to throw the right hand it was usually because he didn't get the left hand up and out in time.

Stepping in with the jab to push Wilder back.

Pressing forward looking to counter off the that jab and pushing the opponent onto the back foot.

Joshua does all of this already regularly, only difference is Fury slips and counters while Joshua more often catch and counters.

Joshua takes away Wilder's right hand and once that happens it's only a matter of time before Joshua gets inside Wilder's jab and tears him up on the inside.

Not if AJ follows the blueprint Fury set last night. DW needs distance to get that right hand off and he cant defend the right hand at all.

But will AJ commit to his punches knowing what can come me back at him?

He will, he said in an interview before last nights fight his tactic would be the press to not allow Wilder space to throw the right hand. He knows as long as he keeps Wilder backing up the right hand isn't coming and if he doesn't press a simple extended left lead will block Wilder's attempt to step in with the right hand. He used similar tactics in the Ruiz rematch, whenever Ruiz pressed he just stuck out the left and Ruiz was too fat to duck under or slip it, so just ended up trapped on the end of Joshua left hand.

I know what you mean. The ruiz fight cast doubt in my mind and wilder has the kind of power and athleticism that can bail him out of a technical mismatch

Before the Fury rematch I favoured Wilder against AJ and I still do. But this would be AJ's best shot at beating him now as I believe the beating Fury gave Wilder is mentally damaging much the same way the beating Ruiz gave AJ was mentally damaging. That is why this fight would have been more exciting when both guys confidence was sky high they truely believed they were the best. It will be interesting to see where Wilder is at mentally in his next fight whoever he decides to fight next.
