Agree. Rahman is somewhat of a name, if haye can dismiss him it will send a big message!

i voted ibragimov just because he's one of the smaller heavyweights, and is a decent name for his record - especially if he manages what wlad was too scared to attempt - knock him out.

not sure how haye would cope against a southpaw jab though.

I voted for Golota, but Rahman would be ideal aswell.

Golota is there for the taking and a pretty big name, even though past his best. I think Haye would dispose of him pretty quick.

Rahman is a big puncher so he would have to be careful, but again he is past his best and not the fastest of fighters! Also he has a dodgy set of whiskers, but if he lands on Haye it could be goodnight!

I'd like to see face Ibrag, MAskaev or a former champ. He can beat em bad. I'd like to see Haye whoop Valuev if he beats Chagaev.

Dont think he would beat Valuev, to big.

I think Valuev would take whatever Haye dished out and walk him down to a late stoppage.

Ruiz is a problem. I think he could spoil hayes gravy train. That guy has to be one of the most succesful spoilers in the history of boxing. His ledger is stacked with everyone who was someone and he just doesnt go away. Ruiz isnt that blessed but Haye doesnt have the stamina currently to keep a guy like Ruiz at bay for so long.Haye can bang but when he doesnt KO guys early he wilts. His a typical front runner and Ruiz despite his early blow out to Tua has been proven to have a good beard.

    :good

I think Ruiz whilst being one of the most boring fighters is in a weird way one of the most sucessful fighters of the last 10 years. Only the elite have defeated him and he is a decent puncher with good cardio and very physically strong.

I really believe that Lennox Lewis wanted no part of him. Not because he was scared or would lose, but that Ruiz would make him look bad whatever the result.

    Rahman is ideal

Big name on both sides of the Atlantic after beating Lewis, well past his best, grade A china to add to Haye's highlight reel

He does bring power and size, which might help prepare Haye in the unlikely scenario it goes past 2 rounds

To be honest it would have been awful to watch. I have never in my life seen a heavyweight so awful to watch. Lennox was never deadly unless he felt threatened. If they fought it would have been a snooze fest.

Valuev wouldn't stop Haye, he isn't quick enough to do it. Even if he managed to hurt Haye, he wouldn't be quick enough to close in and finish it.

Haye UD, might even TKO him.

    Yep.

Ruiz gets ragged on and he is a boring ******* to watch and fights outwith the rules in my mind with the utterly excessive holding...but he has had success and at the end of the day is a two time belt holder.

Hes taken down much more talented fighters like Johnson(though controversial), Rahman, Golota(decision could have went either way) and that sneaky right hand can catch people off guard...Evander Holyfield when he was wasn't completly and utterly shot...just well past it.

Since he changed his style following the Tua fight he has proven to be tough to ko. Besides Tua is arguably one of the hardest punching heavyweights of all time and I don't make that statement lightly...so Ruiz being caught cold in that one as entertaining as it was does not ell the full story.

I know I'm rambling a bit but the point is I agree with you. I feel it would be a solid test of Hayes credentials as it is likely that he would be taken into deep water coming up against a guy who knows how to survive if nothing else. If Haye won convincingly, something that only two middleweights have managed to do in the past 7 years(though Holyfield won the 3rd fight), then it would prove alot in my book.

The Johnson fight wasnt controversial. That fat cupcake simply pussed out. Johnson thought he was going to coast to an easy UD in his first world title shot and Ruiz stayed on his chest ALL throughout the fight. He rattled him and had him on ***** street and that idiot Johnson instead of letting his hands go simply fouled and low blowed. He did it so much he got DQ`ed. But that was a fight Ruiz was clearly winning.

As for the Tua fight Ruiz was quite young and was literally caught cold with the first haymaker Tua threw. That KO was decisive and destructive. The poor guy was comatose and took licks even on the way down.

If Haye could beat Ruiz that would be a MASSIVE achievement. But i dont see it happening.Haye isnt an infighter. His not good defensively, doesnt juke and feint in the cup and its simply not his style. He prefers room to use a rapier jab to set up his big right hand. Ruiz wont let him do that as he`ll eat a couple in the early rounds and will close that distance in no time.By the mid to late rounds Haye would be well brusied up out of his game plan and on his way to a TKO loss.

After Wlads last petrified wankfest i think it woudl be the perfect time for Haye to just go straight in there with The Man.

I think Hayes got a big chance of Knocking Klit TFO.
