Ideal opponent for Haye next?

Quite a lot of good options but I'd say prepare to be underwhelmed.

Agree with most though: Jennings, Stiverne, Browne or Pulev would all be very good. Just a 'name' would suffice at this stage. Wach perhaps?

Either way, I'll be surprised if it's a contender but I hope I'm wrong

 

What about Robert Helenius?
He just won the IBF International so will be ranked within the top 10-15 now

 

Whyte, Briggs, Wach or Jennings would be suitable.

 

He's fighting Chisora next then AJ being lined up with the winner of that.

 

No way he fights Wach or anyone with durability. Too much of a risk at this stage of his career. Three round fights, that's all.

 

This would be the easiest route for haye, and he avoids fury too

 

Pulev is a tough fight for Haye plus quite expensive- I suspect it'll be someone near Euro level though. Hammer would ideal.

 

I'd imagine there'll be a few fighters looking for their benefactors/promoters to get their cheque books out to entice Martin into a defence.

I'd imagine he'd be willing to take a slice of Joshua's PPV money if he came to the uk to fight AJ and that Haye would be willing to go Stateside to try and pick up a strap.

 

It depends if he is being truthful and it's not about the money it shouldn't matter. He should do a chisora and box again next week - don't think he got hit once - doesn't have to be a haye day again he should just get on some local cards turn up at some flea pit and get some rounds in. Aim for a number one contender fight and do it the right way. Please don't wait another 6 months though to fit into some to schedule it doesn't have to be on tv every time

I agree with him doing that but it would mean either he or his backers would have to pay his opponent costs i.e. wages, hotels, plane etc to get him these bouts.

I'm sure that anybody who gets the phone call to fight David Haye would be expecting a very good wage knowing they might well be knocked cold!!

 

Fair enough hadn't really though about the opponent! Would someone like ***ton take it few weeks time. Would be a step up from Saturday

 

He might but if Sam wants back into title contention then a KO loss wouldn't be the best way to go!! He doesn't hit hard enough to keep David Haye from doing that !!

 

Jonathan banks would be ideal
