You think guys like Valero are going to settle for undercard spots, especially when he's fighting somebody like Juan Diaz? Hell no. Make it realistic at least.

Guys like Valero do NOT deserve to headline a PPV. Maybe a BAD and to a much lesser extent WCB. But if Valero wants to be in any PPV he's gonna have to be an undercard bout, especially a PPV people are stacking to reach 2 mill buys.

This card wouldn't touch 3 million buys...hell it wouldn't touch 2 million buys. I also don't necessarily know if you can time frame wise run 3 title fights on one card. Also Devon Alexander to the best of my knowledge is Don King based.

Here's pretty much the only realistic

    Main Event 154 lbs
Miguel Cotto vs "A Returning" Oscar De La Hoya
Reasoning- Comebacks always draw money and even though he's "retired", Oscar De La Hoya is still a big fish in boxing. He's on every event, he is doing a lot of stuff to keep his celebrity stature strong and he's kept himself in what I figure would be reasonable enough shape to keep active enough and make one final go at things. People are suckers for a good comeback story and here's one. On the other side of the bill, Miguel Cotto is the rising star of Puerto Rico who has proven that he CAN put asses in seats and draw on PPV with the right opponent. You've got Mexico vs Puerto Rico one more time with the biggest STAR in Mexico against the biggest Puerto Rican fighter out there. There may not be a "trash talker" in the main event but this fight wouldn't need it.

    Co-Main Event WBA LWW Title
Amir Khan vs Michael "The Great" Katsidis
Reasoning- It's GBP vs Top Rank in this one. Khan is clearly slowly getting the Top Rank push now in an attempt to make him into the next Ricky Hatton type figure in the UK. Michael Katsidis has expressed interest in bouncing weights to try and find his way into a title shot. Katsidis vs Khan guarantees you a big time battle to get the crowd hot for the main event.

    10 rounds
Odliander Solis vs Sam Peter OR Hasim Rahman
Reasoning- HWs will ALWAYS be big money. Top Rank has their hands on Solis who could have the most PURE talent of any HW. If Solis is able to get by Kingpin Johnson, this is the next logical step up. I think Solis could be a big player in the HW division if ever solids out. Not only that but he's a cuban born amateur who could bring in a good amount of cuban fanatics. Rahman or Peter would be a known opponent as well.

    10 rounds
    Danny Jacobs vs Angel Hernandez
Reasoning- GBP isn't going to throw out go on their PPV without having one of their "future stars" out there. Danny Jacobs IMO would get the nod over Victor Ortiz or Erislandy Lara on this card. Hernandez is just a token opponent.

Cotto vs Margo did 500K on PPV. Oscar De La Hoya is good for a solid million buys, throw in a comeback, the Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivarly and renewed star power for Miguel Cotto and you could get anywhere from 1.4 to 1.8 mil.

That **** wouldn't work no one buying PPV is concerned with HW's especially none without the last name Klitschko.

Oscar's not coming back ... even if he was, there's no way that Cotto comes up to 154.

That **** would barely do 1m buys if that ...

I think this is a good thread if people make realistic suggestions, otherwise its pointless. Yes we'd love to see Pac/PBF with Cotto/Marg 2 on the undercard and throw in Hatton, Marquez maybe a Klitschko or two, but God knows it won't happen. Top class fighters rarely settle for undercard places unless they are trying to get a fight with the winner of the main event. I'm not even sure Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley would take on each other on an undercard, no matter who was headlining it. They are both world champions and like to think that they are big enough to headline an event. Hence we tend to get washed up fighters like Zab Judah on big undercards, and upcoming fighters like Danny Jacobs or Matt Korobov.

    Here's mine:

PAC vs. PBF at 144 (main event)

    Valero vs. JMM at 135
    Donaire vs. Darchinyan at 115/118
    Caballero vs. JuanMa at 122/126

2 of these 4 fights might not be that competitive but it's still intriguing and popular match ups...
