Hey, it is the HW class, you are supposed to be big in every way to fight there, otherwise you'll be dealing with overcoming important physical disavantages every fight. Many fighters could do it, Tyson is the best example, Byrd, Chagaev and Peter also thrived recently, but only for a limited period as imediately as they slow down or are not at their best, the size factor starts to play against them. Boxing is not a exact science, but I believe you understand what I mean. IMO, every fighter under 6'3 and 220lbs would better not fight at HW.
Who gives a **** what country they are from??? I know I don't... my fav fighter is sam peter and he is a african and I'm from america. My second fave fighter is vic darchinyan and he is from armenia.... Your a raciest so STFU
Size does have quite a bit to do with it. As we all know, when a fight starts, the fighters are apart, and out of each other's range. And as they come together, the smaller fighter is within the range of the larger fighter, first, and he obviously is at risk of getting hit before he can hit his larger opponent. So seeing as how fighters start a fight apart, and when a clinch is broken by the ref, and they are seperated, once again, its to the larger fighter's advantage. The smaller fighter has to put himself at risk each and every time they are seperated, in order to penetrate the larger fighter's range. And this is before the larger fighter is in any danger, yet. So the advantage is in favor of the larger man. Obviously. The only thing that would make a fight at the advantage of the smaller fighter would be if the fight were to start with each fighter, touching, belly to belly. And if when the ref broke a clinch, he put them back, belly to belly each time. Sounds rediculous, but that is the only way I can think of to make a fight to a smaller fighter's advantage. Cause as it is now, the basic physics of starting apart from each other gives the advantage to the larger fighter with the longer reach and wider range.
