...bad idea. :deal They're just human beings, like the rest of us, even if they are superior physically, mentally and morally ...they're not perfect. :-( ...and sometimes, in all their greatness, they lack that humility, decency and common courtesy that normal Joes like us find commonplace sometimes.:good I, for one, am no longer a nuthugger anymore. Phew! Been there, done that...got the cap... ...should be a slightly better analyst now, and more of a boxing fan.:happy
what you mean bro? what happened? Ya i do tend to do that with vargas, mayorga, and miranda.... but i just cant help it.... its something that started when i was young and i still look up to these people (not miranda but his story gets to me)
I like boxing in genrel and have a great deal of respect for anyone who gets into a boxing ring (the same goes for any fighting sport.) However I have my favrotes and there is nothining wrong with that.
As long as you don't idealise your favourites and remain very objective about them, of course that is true.:good
I dont see how i can do that... I mean... im very objective on fighters THESE days, and once mayorga retires it will probably be the last, or maybe miranda... but those three.... i cant help it. Or someone like Tyson... who is so physically supreme that it just blows my mind.... I dont know
It holds you back, though! As long as you're willing to pay the price of being a fan of the man rather than his art...that's OK...but personality cults always backfire.
Leonards probably my blindspot, I grew up idolising him as a kid....I still think he's one hell of a fighter but I've tried to temper it over the last few years.
so you have been surgically excised from bute's nuts? :yep j/k i agree. boxers we admire for their skill in a sport which we enjoy. beyond that, their just people too with loads of character flaws like any other average schmuck. although some joyboys have a disturbing fascination with pbf.
