Not Eubank, not Saunders, not Jacobs, not Quillin, not Canelo

Khytrov is The Real Future Truth at Middleweight. He's 26, 12-0 11KO's

Thus far Khytrov seems to have the same reputation as Kovalev had before fighting Bernard Hopkins and proving to the Boxing World just how skilled a boxer he really is. Which is that of a dunderheaded skilless punching machine who walks head first into punches while being overly reliant on his immense power, but I think people are selling Khytrov short just like they did the Krusher. As an Amateur he purportedly had over 500 bouts and a KO ratio of 80% stopping up to 400 of his opponents. The few opponents who seemed to trouble him fought very defensively like the Cuban Julio Cesar Iglesias, and fighting somewhat out of character for him Jason Quigley, also in what was basically a draw against Anthony Ogogo at the Olympics.

So instead of hiding like a coward from styles that trouble him, I've noticed a recent pattern in his young professional career, he isn't faces the typical motley crew of past it shot losers that are so commonly fed to young lions to get them the experience they need, he's fighting the very style that seems to trouble him the most, which will hopefully pay dividends in the future. While eons away from Rigo or Floyd the fighters he's fought in his last 3 matches have been what you would call low level slick defensive fighters,. The first was Willie Fortune Jr. who's only lost is to the hard hitting bulldozer Tureano Johnson, he never went down against Tureano, Khytrov KO'd him in 30 seconds. His second was Louis Rose who had only one close defeat on points he destroyed him in 2 minutes. And the most recent was Maurice Louishome who was undefeated and had never been down. He pulled his punches in an attempt to get some rounds in, and even then dropped him badly in the 1st and shook Louishomme to his core and had him out on his feet for 3 rounds before the stoppage.

Skillwise he's improving by leaps and bounds, he's becoming far more defensively responsible than he was before, in the Louishome match watch the subtleties, his slight head movements, his shifting, his counter punching, taking a half step back to avoid clean shots, his pawing jab to set up his power punches, his accurate punch placement, landing a punch wherever he can land one, his ability to cut the off the ring, his ability to set traps, his effective aggression, his constant pressure. He's already almost the full package in only his 8th match.:deal Now obviously he needs quite a few more matches under his belt before he can be considered a true contender but just by the looks of it in his last few matches he's already capable of beating a good majority of the lesser top contenders at Middleweight. We have a Middleweight Kovalev in the making here. And potential threat to GGG in a year or two.:deal

Watch this Louishome match very closely and analyze his skills. Tell me what you think.:think Do you see Kovalev and GGG in Him?

Rose 1 close loss on his record beforehand. He recently had what should have been a draw with up and coming American MW Rob Brant, who clean K)O'd DeCarlo Perez, so Rose has a decent chin.
    [yt]MonCgtI03sM[/yt]

Fortune never down even against a big puncher in Tureano Johnson.
    [yt]YGB6VjrUEh8[/yt]

His match against Chatman, who went the distance against Andrade, and got stopped by Charlo in 3 in Jermell's 16th match, this was Khytrov's 4th match he stopped him in 3 as well. The wobble in the first is from a shovish punch to the chest.

It doesn't seem to effect Wlad, Sergey or GGG, they just keep winning

thats because the best guys are playing other sports. meanwhile, eastern europe has no sports aside from boxing. 6'9" 260 lb zdeno chara would rip tyson furys head off in a street fight.

He looks good but from what I've seen lacks in footwork and defense, I'm a bit more impressed by Murata at this point.
