if 10 years ago, people would have told me about what folks say about RJJ..........

the Klitschko's don't lose rounds either. Do you think they are amazing too?

Name the civil servants and sanitation workers..... I noticed you used the plural form, so that means more than one, (you might not be that far in your lesson plan yet.)

Provide some proof of Roy ducking these fighters.... Some of the fighters you listed were not even possible opponents at the time. Just because certain fights don't get made, doesnt mean the fighter you so happened to hate was ducking... It would be like me saying your hero Calzaghe fought 2 old men and ducked Dawson by retiring.

Jones has shown heart in many different fights, much more heart that you will ever have.

They are damn good, that's for sure.... They would give many ATG heavyweights hell in head to head match ups.:yep

the best heavyweights in a horrible era, I'll give them that, but no i don't think they're amazing...and you forgot to take into account that roy jones has dominated other all time greats (not that many; he pissed me off too for taking a lot of easy fights). sorry if you don't like him. i don't have an agenda, I thought he was a great fighter in his prime.

This is EXACTLY what I knew you would post. Jones looked good against cab drivers, off duty cops, bartenders, etc. and he is amazing.:rofl

The fighters that Jones was beating were no different than what the Klitschko's are facing now and they rarely lose a round.

They also will travel and fight anyone anywhere in the World Jones flat out refused to do that.

    :hi:

the klits fought and dominated somebody comparable to b-hop or toney or even an over it virgil hill? dude, you're ridiculous...I didn't come in here to argue with you (I wouldn't really even consider myself a jones jr. fan; I just thought he was a great fighter). ****ing relax.

You ignored half of his post.... I think the Klits are very good fighters, not their fault that the Heavyweight division is not what it was in the past.

Roy may have looked great fighting the cab drivers, off duty cops, and bartenders that no one can name, (what a ****ing mystery)

But he also looked great dominating all time greats, one of them (Toney) was arguably the best pound for pound fighter at the time, and Roy made him look like an amateur. If you would have read that part of his post, you would have understood.

He also looked pretty good fighting number one contenders and champions, that beat or had close fights with people that Roy "ducked":hi:

he also had no chin, no heart, and couldn't adapt to a plan B in times of adversity. you look at fighters like ray leonard, ali, calzaghe, floyd and they can all adapt in the ring, they all have a chin, and they all have heart. instead, roy just collapses like a 90 year old grandmother who has been uppercutted by lennox lewis.

Didn't Jones beat Hopkins with a broken right hand??? Didn't he win the last two rounds of the Tarver fight when he was exhausted after the very first round? Didn't he advise the doctor not to stop the Calzaghe fight because of the nasty cut? If that isn't heart or having a plan B, i don't know what is.

Floyd and Calzaghe should not even be mentioned because neither of them are near as shot as Roy Jones. Roy Jones is a complete shadow of himself... If you think Roy has never shown heart or dealt with adversity in his career then that just further more shows that you don't know boxing very well.

You lose credibility with each and every post.

I agree with the OP. Poor RJJ just fought on too long for his own good and people will hate on him full on now for the remainder of time because of so... Shame.

give over man, calzaghe was past it, he was 36 when he went into hopkins and jones backyard and feasted on them. hell, he even let joe cortez referee one of the fights to even things up.

calzaghe's hands were proper brittle, he couldn't hit hard anymore, he lost a lot of his workrate (his major strength) through old age, got knocked down in the 1st round both times and still came back through adversity to win, simply because he had a chin, had heart and could adapt to a plan B in the ring.

how did jones and hopkins adapt to old age?

roy adapted by laying on the ropes and crying

hopkins adapted by holding on for dear life, feigning low blows, and by bending over while calzaghe did the boogie woogie behind him.

what happenned after those 2 fight?

well roy was superman against jeff lacy

and hopkins boxed pavliks (another american fraud) head off.
