If 2005 Morales (of Pac 1) was a jr-ww, who'd win between him and Khan (of Maidana)?

I actually think it's pretty cool of you MichiganWarrior, to be a fan of Khan. I don't know if you are aware of this, but you have a reputation as a guy who only blindly supports all black African-American fighters, so I'm glad to see that's not the case. We already have more than enough people on here who blindly and exclusively support fighters by their ethnic group. Many of my favourite fighters are black African-Americans who share some similar qualities (James Toney is one of my top 3 of all-time, also love Hopkins (hence the username), Pernell Whitaker, Roy Jones, and in recent years I've really liked the skillsets of Andre Dirrell and Chad Dawson, despite their possible mental fragility). However, I fear your faith in Khan's ability may be a bit misplaced. Maybe you could tell me what you see in him? As I just don't see it. I think he's a very athletic fighter with superb handspeed... and that's about it. I don't see any great technique there, I see amateurish footwork, a ****ing terrible defence, and weak punch resistance. What is it about him that makes you think he could compete with a beast like the Morales of the first Pac fight? I genuinely don't get it, not trying to be a dickhead here btw.

Morales rehydrated to around 140-145 when he fought as a sfw, I doubt Khan would be much more than 145ish by fight-time in the days when he weighed in at 135. But even if he did reach about 150 (which I doubt), I believe Morales was good enough to bridge an approximate 5lbs gap on a vastly inferior fighter. JMO. :good

    Morales would obliterate Khan.

Anyone who thinks I only support Black fighters is a hater. Only 2 of my 5 favorite fighters today are African-American. Thats Floyd Mayweather and Andre Dirrell. The other 3 are Yoriorkis Gamboa, Sergio Martinez and Juan Manuel Marquez.

I havent missed a second of Martinez fights since he beat down Alex Bunema.

As for Khan, he fights in a weak era. He has the natural gifts and the corner to have success in this era. Its not there is a Kota Tszyu at 140 who can exploit Khans mistakes. So I can easily see him unifying at 140, and getting a big fight with Pacquiao or Mayweather at 147.

And Amir Khan would compete with Morales the same way Zahir Raheem did. By being faster, bigger, stronger, and maintaining distance on the outside. If Khan doesnt fall in with his punches, maintains range, and makes Morales come to him, there is no way Morales wins this.

Morales lost to raheem quite badly. But there is no saying that means he loses to khan, not that version anyways.

Morales now would lose to khan even tho I think he beat maidana (I can't remember my scorecard but I had him beating diaz also).

Look, right, we both know styles make fights ofcourse they do. I just don't see, in this imaginery world, khan beating that version of morales.

I'd root for him if they did fight but i'm not convinced he'd win, rather i'm convinced he'd lose.

The thing is, we'll never know so why get so into it? The raheem loss was bad because it seemingly exposed a style flaw but there's no saying khan could pull the same exploit right?
