If 80's Mike Tyson was fighting right now, would he be more popular than Pac & Floyd?

Tyson fought the mighty Julius Francis over here, Scotland i think.
And Tyson would be more popular, definatly.Apart from with 2 certain ukrainian brothers.

mike tyson would be the biggest draw in boxing by miles if he was prime now

he would be make $100MILLION Purses fighting and drestroying the klitschkos

prime tyson ko2 wladimir, tko5 vitali, ko1 haye

and he would not leave kevin rooney because he would respect him more becuase he is older and wiser now

tyson retires 50-0 and with over $1BILLION in his bank if he stays with rooney and does not let don king or bob arum rob him

Easily. Him being a HW for one and the way he fought would be guaranteed $$$ worldwide.

Alas no - the Klits would beat him handily due to size and we wouldn't get the same thrills and spills from him. Sad truth.

Yes he would. Boxing fans always love to watch KDs and KOs no doubt about it and watching that scenario in HW would be more exciting than any other division. How I wish to see another Tyson these days.

He's more popular now. For ****'s sake, ask the general public who they're more familiar with. Tyson's more popular now and he'd be more popular as an active fighter. Either way.

Hey guys lets get a Mayweather interview and make a trhead about each thing he says and dissect it.

"Floyd says he doesn't stretch before working out. What clown"
"Floyd says his childhood was rough. I beg to differ"
"Guess what Floyd said about dog fighting" :tired

Tyson coming back even now against a bum would do more PPV worldwide than the Klit-brothers unifying (which would be shown in Germany and might get a highlight with some views on youtube).

It's not about race. It's all about excitement. If you want to be box-office then you must entertain.

Tyson brought mega-excitement back in the days. Even after his prime he inspired excitement, just due to what he used to be able to do, and still showed a spark of that ferocity at times. People are so hungry for that type of thing, that when someone shows a tinge of it, like with Pacquaio (spelling?) and now this Adonis Stevenson fellow, they go nuts! Me included!

Does Tyson have a son who wants to box, by any chance? :think

Another thing about Tyson was his chin, in my humble opinion. Quite a few guys hit hard and all, but you had to nearly decapitate Mikey to get him out of there. Lewis was bombing him at will, busting him up like road-kill, and he kept trying to get inside and wing shots. And that was far past his prime, far past Rooney and the glory days. Reminded me of Rocky vs. Apollo I. Again, IMHO.
