If he were to beat Pavlik and Dawson, which I don't totally count him out of, yes he would be top 15-20 ATG IMO... Same with Jones, if he beats Calzaghe, I would bump him into 15 ATG as well.

Most people, including me, think Calzaghe is a bit past his best @ 36. He also moved up in weight without benifit of a tuneup to meet Hopkins. Interesting that you mentioned that Hopkins made Calz. look past his best, yet Hopkins was the one who was stumbling around the ring faking low blows late in the fight because of Calzaghes relentlessness, which is something Hopkins had never done before. The comparison between Winky, Trinidad, and Johnson is not really valid because they all lost to Hopkins and Calzaghe beat Hopkins

There is no way Pavlik throws a 100 punches a round against Hopkins.

Obviously not. He won't even be ranked the top middleweight if he does that. Monzon, Greb, Hagler and Robinson still rank above him.

His resume with Pavlik and Dawson on it is worthy of a top 75 spot.

And his age is irrelevant too.

Absolutely not! He beat Delahoya above his natural weight, he beat Tito above his natural weight, he beat Wright above his natural weight and he woulda beat Pavlik above his natural weight. Still lost to RJJ in his prime, Jermain Taylor twice and Joe Calzaghe. If he beats Dawson it means Dawson is grossly overrated and so was Adamek and Tarver, simply because he couldn't beat Taylor in 2 tries or Calzaghe.

At the moment pavlik and dawson are just live young good prospect fighters - nothing more.

HELL NO! B/c he beat PAV and then Dawson?:huh What makes those two wins that HUGE to warrant being call the BEST EVER? Yes...those would be very impressive wins considering his age but PAV beat Taylor and Miranda? Not exactly ATG status themselves and who has PAV beat Dawson beat besides Johnson and Tarver who are both pretty old themselves? No way.

dawson and pavlik are not fully proven fighters so people would say they were over hyped.
i can see him beating pavlik as long as he dont tire too much in the later rounds where he could possibly be ko`d.
