You never know. It depends on the person. Some people practice many different thing and aren't good at anything. But if you want an example: Hector "Macho" Camacho started at Tae Kwon Do.

at boxing a boxer would win, but if they were in a cage the boxer would have trouble. Whoever has the rules in his favor would win.

In a boxing match Louis Collazo beats any man on earth in his weight class who is'nt a seasoned pro boxer.

It doesnt matter who the **** they are or how great they are at their own martial art.

If they weigh 147 and are'nt experienced in pro boxing then Collazo puts a whoopin on em!

    PS

When ALL women cum they don't shout "OMG", they scream "CHUCK NORRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!" :yep:

Yeah think that should be the case. But then again, can we say for 100% certainty that no man on this planet who isn't a boxer wouldn't have NO SHOT against Collazo around his weight class? I mean say a Bruce Lee type fighter wanted to fight with the game plan of just moving and pot shotting. And maybe, just maybe, because his reflexes are so amazing and his hand speed is so fast, he might be able to get away with a lot of things and make it competitive, maybe even win. He might just ad lib and if he sees a punch coming, he gets out of the way. He sees an opening, he exploits it. And let's not forget about power. A guy like Bruce Lee had unreal power. If he hit Collazo flush, what then?

That's one of the points i was making when talking about martial art MASTERS. Most of these guys have tremendous reflexes and hand speed. They can see em coming and they can exploit your openings. If you have that, sometimes you can get away with things. I'm not just talking about your novice martial art guys. I'm talking about MASTERS.

Please, enough with this Grand Master **** dude. The 80's are over! :patsch

Dude, the man in my avatar is the greatest Mixed Martial Artist of all itme. He's the Sugar Ray Robinson of MMA. He's the most dangerous pro fighter in history. He is THE Grand master of MMA and he would get destoryed by David Haye in a boxing match. Let alone Ali, Foreman etc etc.

Give Bruce Lee some roids so he can build up to 147. Also load his gloves with plaster  and Collazo still beats him.

To a Grand Master of any martial art other than boxing, Bruce Lee or whoever, Louis Collazo IS a Master at the martial art of boxing. :deal

Boxing is a martial art so no man at 147 who is'nt a seasoned pro boxer will handle Louis Collazo in a boxing ring.

    End of thread!

Well, i agreed with you that with almost 100% certainty that no man would beat Collazo but where we disagree is that i am leaving open the very minute possibility that there might be some masters out there who might give Collazo a run for his money and i gave the reasons why in my post above while you say no one would have a chance.

boxer would kill him, martial arts masters can only beat martial artists in martial arts competitions with a strict set of rediculous martial arts rules. boxer has too much ring savvy and experience of actually getting whacked in the head for the fake master.

this is it basically.... no offence OP but you behave like there are actual grand master out there who know deep secrets from scriptures of old text that teach you how to kill a man by touching him with his finger, these mr.miyagi type grand masters do not exist. well they do, but they cant fight and any of them that have have been wiped out in a round. MMA guy beat a grand master into what i believe were tears in lessthan a round in some vid on youtube

stick to the choreographed karate tournaments

Whats the definition of martial arts master? Couldnt I open up a gym and call myself the master of Ki joot Foon? I just made it up, thus Im the master.

To answer the OP. A Boxer against any MMA type fighter would be at a natural disadvantage. The MMA fighter has been trained in multiple forms of combat, the boxer i 1. So if I was to figure an average boxer against an average MMA guy, the MMA guy would win. Same as an elite boxer against the very best MMA fighter, the MMA fighter would have the advantage. However thats not to say that I dont think a guy like Pernell Whitaker would have given a guy like Bruce Lee and extremely tough fight in real combat setting.

The martial arts that most of us are familiar with is actually a romanticized , Hollywood version of the real martial arts, which in head to head practical combat can be just as mundane and ineffectual as boxing can be at times. It's portrayal (through Bruce Lee and others) is as fantasized and unrealistic as boxing in a Rocky movie. 9 times at of 10, the grandest master in Mui Thai or whatever fad MA discipline today, will lose with a competent boxer in a boxing match. In a street match, both boxer and MA fighter will lose more often than not, to a street savvy fighter like Kimbo Slice.
