I have no qualms with a fighter retiring on a high, and getting out at the perfect time before he's about to face his inevitable decline. There isn't much worse than hanging around longer than you should, and being defeated by a fighter you would beat easily in your prime (Roy Jones a perfect example).

However, what I don't like to see, is fighters in their prime not fighting the fights they should.
