Yeah I remember that very well, Pac really hurt Marquez there. For a moment I thought he will drop him again or even finish him off. Really awesome fight that was.
there was barely 1 second left on that round when jmm used the rope to prevent a 2nd knockdown. if ever he didn't held and was kd, i feel that jmm would have made it. i just reviewed the first shot that jmm took. it was really hard and was really amazed with jmm's recuperative ability.
freshly print screen-captured from the avi video that i downloaded. not good quality but you can see it clearly. after jmm held the rope, the bell rang abruptly.
Just to show some ignorant ESBers who have selective memory when bringing up the two fights ..supposedly one fighter dominated the fight if you read it here Their master boxer JMM was a ****ing beaten up man and needed the help of the bell to avoid himself getting carried out on a ****in stretcher!!! I recall him following Pac to his corner..thats how out he was...He was lucky yeah these two are close though..I need to see a third fight
Question....if that round was scored 10-7, how would it have affected the judges scoring? Would it have been enough to be changed to a UD?
yeah i have no qualms if they feel that jmm beat pac. but to say that jmm beat him fairly comfortably and crying about a robbery is getting out of hand. its the same thing with the morales trilogy. first they say that morales was shot in the 3rd fight. then they pushed it up and said morales was shot on the 2nd fight. and now you can here some saying morales was shot even during the first fight. ****ing haters who doesn't give credit.
officially, it would not affect the outcome since the judge who gave jmm the nod scored it 115-112. it would just become 114-112 and SD retained. it would just give more credence for a pac victory since the score will be a little wider for pac.
